Weekends are meant for parties , atleast for me they do. I love getting my makeup done by a professional well trained makeup artist, I find it therapeutic since the artist is there to take care of everything. This time when I had an evening party to attend, I chose VLCC Day Spa located at Vasant Kunj. I met Anu Mehra, who is a celebrity makeup artist working with VLCC for years now. I loved how she listened to me and then offered a makeup look, a classic – Smokey Eyes Red Lips Party Makeup. To be honest I was a little apprehensive because bold colors paired with smokey eyes are difficult to carry, but she assured that the look will be sophisticated with a touch of glam.
She started with getting the base makeup right. As per her its important to moisturise the skin so that makeup glides on smoothly and looks good. After moisturising she moved on to foundation. Since the makeup was for an important event, skin had to look flawless.
Next step was taking care of under eye darkness. She applied a thin layer of concealer and blended it into the skin. Moving to eye makeup was the third step. She applied a gel liner and smudged it , topping off with a glittery black powder eyeshadow. She added false lashes to amp up the glam and believe me I loved it.
She went light handed with blush & bronzer since we wanted to keep the focus on eyes & lips only. For lips she chose a pretty matte red color.
I was surprised to see how fast the makeover was ! Only 15 mins. And the results were outstanding. Makeup looked flawless & super glamorous. Smokey Eyes Red Lips Party Makeup was indeed the best choice.
