This is my second lipcolor from Sleek and I am amazed by the shade, quality and the formula.
Shade- The shade is described as sheen hot reddish pink. On me it comes out as a vibrant blue based pink. It has sheen which provides glossy look to lips.
Packaging- Sleek True Color Lipstick Candy Cane has a black matte packaging with a velvety feel. It is slightly small in size but looks really cute and easy to store.It is sturdy and the shade name is provided at the bottom with shade indication.
Texture & Formula- The texture of the lipstick is smooth and it applies easily. The formula is very hydrating and moisturising and good for those having dry lips. It does settle a bit in the lips lines but doesn’t accentuate dry lips. The lipstick has sheen finish which provides healthy glossy look to lips. I don’t feel the need to apply a lip gloss over this. It is creamy and light weight. The shade is such that it will suit all skin tones. Sleek True Color Lipstick Candy Cane is fragrance free and comfortable on lips.
Pigmentation- Sleek True Color Lipstick Candy Cane is highly pigmented and a popping shade that looks bright and bold. One swipe imparts decent amount of shade. It covers lip pigmentation easily. It doesn’t bleed if over applied.
Staying Power- Candy cane stays for about 4-5 hours on lips leaving a reddish pink stain on lips which look good too. The shade is transferable.
Overall Thoughts
I am so much in love Sleek True Color Lipstick Candy Cane. It brightens up my complexion. The packaging is classy, sturdyand travel friendly.It is decently priced and the creamy formula is truly amazing.It is hydrating, light weight and comfortable on lips.Candy Cane is a close dupe of MAC impassioned but at a lower price. However, it has to be ordered online. On some, it might come out more pink and on some it might look more deep pink. The sheen finish adds glossy look to lips. It does settle in the lip lines a bit so proper exfoliation is necessary prior its application.
I highly recommend trying Sleek True Color Lipstick Candy Cane. It will suit all skin tones and looks. I prefer wearing this lipstick with a winged liner and soft pink blush. It looks really classy and attractive.
