Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask Review Swatches Photos

Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask (Rs 9500 for 30ml) from StrawberrynetSisley Black Rose Cream Mask Review Swatches Photos (2)

Sisley Black Rose is a mask I have been lusting for, for over a year now.  I received two 4ml sachets in my Fabbag sometime last year.  I was really skeptical, given the exorbitant price and was pretty sure that when I used it, I would not find anything to warrant the price.  Oh boy, was I wrong!!  And, yes, it is a mask and it does cost in excess of 9000!!

Let me start by saying, I didn’t pay full price.  I don’t care how good a product is, I’m just not getting a face mask at that price.  I picked it up during a sale, at over 60% off. Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask Review Swatches Photos (3)Packaging – Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask comes in a nice white and silver cardboard box.  Inside is the tube, with a lid on the tube and another one in the box.  The lid that’s on the tube is really neat.  When you open it, there is a tiny knob attached to the mouth of the tube.  You turn over the lid and the notches fit in the knob so you can twist it open and break the seal.  It’s the little things that these guys think of that make you smile.

The tube itself is functional and brown.  I prefer to keep the original lid on since I store the tube in the box.  Normally, I throw the boxes away… just the price of this thing has made me appreciate the product as a whole – so the box stays.

Usage – You are supposed to apply a thick layer and leave it on for 10 – 15 minutes.  After that you can wipe off the excess.  Most reviews I have read also mention that you can apply a thin layer and leave it on – no wiping needed.  Given the price, I apply a thin layer and leave it overnight. So yes, I don’t really use it as a mask, I use it more as a night cream.  There!  Just justified the price right there.

The mask is to be used 3 to 4 times a week.

Texture and formula – What can I say?  Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask is absolutely amazing.  At first the cream feels a little thick – it has a barely there pink colour and a very mild rose fragrance.  Once you apply it, it sinks in immediately.  I have oily skin and not once did I feel it thick or heavy. Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask Review Swatches Photos (1)My experience – Using it as a leave on thin mask, 4 times a week, this thing works magic.  My skin looks younger, less tired and blemishes are gone.  Even the pimples that I sometimes get near my jawline were gone. It is kind of an emergency face lift.  I’m suddenly looking at a face that has been on a long relaxing vacation!  Absolutely no words to describe how potent and amazing this mask is.

Overall Thoughts

Yes, I know the price.  Well, I would never ever cough up over Rs 9500 on a mask.  I don’t care what it does.  For that kind of money I can splurge on a spa experience and get a similar effect.  I’m glad I got Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask at the discounted price though.  Satisfied my longing, but I don’t really think I’m getting this again unless I strike a similar kind of deal.

Oh it’s well beyond good! If you find a benevolent sponsor, by all means try it

sounds very promising. If I have to pay 9500 for it I might as well consider taking 2 spa sessions.

Ooo..9000 is too much. A pretty good deal at 60 off. Even I would have never picked it up at 9k 😀 But it sounds amazing.
