I love applying eye shadows and have quite few palettes, but you can never say no to a good neutral palette. I love good neutral eyeshadow palette with warm tones. Those shades are good for daily as well as party makeup. I recently got my hands on Sigma Warm Neutrals Eye Shadow Palette, which is one of the best sellers from Sigma

Warm Neutrals Eye Shadow palette comes in a card board packaging with a mirror inside. It doesn’t have a brush or applicator which is a bummer since sigma is known for its good quality brushes. Including one brush would have made it a perfect for travel palette.

Shades – Sigma Warm Neutrals has a selection of matte and shimmer formulas. I really love the variety it has and all the shades would look good on all skin tones. However I would have loved to see a black eye shadow as it would have made the palette complete. A black or dark brown eye shadow is great for quick smokey eye makeup. Though the burgundy shade is quite good and is perfect for an evening makeup.

There are some matte shades that are perfect for all over wash of color or highlighter shades for brow bone. Name of all the shades is written on the back of the palette.

Texture & Formula – Matte eyeshadows have smooth texture and shimmer shades also are quite easy to work with. However there is substantial fall out when you pick matte shades specially the lighter ones. You should tap the excess off the brush to avoid fall outs under the eyes.

All the shades are quite blendable and smooth. I have used a mix of shimmer and mattes for the below look and quite happy with the results. One or two lighter shades are slightly chalky, which is something always happens with matte formulas.

Pigmentation – Check out the pigmentation in the above swatch. I would call it a decently pigmented palette. However a good eyeshadow base always amps up the color and make it stay for a long time.

Overall Thoughts

Sigma Warm Neutrals Eye Shadow Palette is a great buy for everyday fail-proof choice. Colours are perfect for daily as well as party makeup looks. The forumla in most of the shadows is quite good with a smooth texture. Eye shadows are bendable and offer good color payoff. Palette is lightweight and travel friendly as you can never go wrong with matte neutral eyeshadows. There are some nice shimmer shades as well as just in case you are in a mood to party. However I would have loved to see some more dark shades there.
