Sigma Standout Peacock Gel Eye Liner (Rs 1000/$14 for 2.8 gms)
I have a thing for liners and I loved this particular shade the moment I saw it!!
ABOUT:’ Capture the cat-eye you’ve always dreamed of with the Sigma Standout Eyes Standout Peacock Dark Blue Gel Liner! This smooth, opaque eye liner features intense pigmentation and a fluid-like finish in dark peacock blue. Each secure glass bottle includes 0.1 oz of liner. No animal testing.’
Shade- Sigma Standout Peacock is described as an outstanding deep indigo blue shade. I would call it a rich blue-teal with black tones. It is a great shade for bold looks. The shade is sans any shimmer or sheen.
Packaging- The packaging is simple yet catchy having a small glass jar that is quite thick and sturdy and a matte black screw lid with Sigma written on it. The packaging is sleek and travel friendly. However, no liner brush is provided.
Texture & Formula- The gel liner has a smooth and creamy formula. It glides on easily without any tugging or pulling. The liner is easy to apply and dries quickly which avoids creating mess. It is a great shade to apply if you want intense look but don’t want to use black shade. The liner settles to a classy matte finish.
I find it difficult to apply the liner sometimes when I over apply it again and again as it starts to crumble and a fine line isn’t achieved.
Pigmentation- Standout Peacock is decently pigmented. It provides medium to opaque coverage in a single swipe which can be built up further. It can crumble a bit if over applied.
Staying power- The liner stays for about 7-8 hours without any fading or smudging. Sigma Standout Peacock doesn’t crease not tug my eyes which is a great thing. The liner can be used for smokey looks as well by smudging it in the initial seconds of application because once it sets, it doesn’t move.
Overall Thoughts
Sigma Standout Peacock is a gorgeous teal blue shade that can be great for smokey looks. It is a great shade to try if you want to move from your Black liners. The formula and the texture is great, the finish is amazing. It think it is great for those having sensitive eyes as the liner doesn’t tug to the lids. It is easy to remove with an oil based makeup remover/baby oil.
Rating- 4/5
