Shiseido Red Pink Lip Liner Pencil Review Swatches Photos

Shiseido Red Pink Lip Liner Pencil (Rs 800 for 1 gm) can be purchased from Sephora.Though, I am not a fan of lip pencils in general but I loved the shade of this particular one.

A word on the product: ‘A lip pencil that outlines the lip contour with surprising smoothness and maintains a beautiful finish for hours. Colour fidelity through advanced luminous technology. Contains multi nutrient factor, an advanced moisturizer. Dermatologically tested.’

Shade- Shiseido Red Pink Lip Liner is a very pretty peachy pink with slight red undertones that adds warmth to the shade. The shade brightens up my face and looks really pretty. It is quite unique as a lip liner as I have never come across such a shade in lip liners.

Packaging- The packaging is simple and nothing fancy having a sharp enable pencil body in black with shade name written. I generally stay away from sharp-able products as they lead to a lot of wastage.Texture & Formula- Shiseido Red Pink Lip Liner Pencil has a smooth texture. It is creamy as compared to other lip liners I have used and glides on easily. The formula isn’t hydrating or moisturising but not drying either. The shade does settle in the lip lines and accentuate dry flaky lips so proper exfoliation prior application is very necessary. It is fragrance free. I generally apply a lip balm underneath to keep the lips soft and supple and use this shade as a lip colour. It brightens up my face and is very summery.

Pigmentation- Shiseido Red Pink Lip Liner Pencil is decently pigmented and covers lip pigmentation very well. It provides medium coverage in a single swipe which can be built up to fuller coverage in another swipe. For lining, the lips, I usually need one swipe across each lip. It doesn’t feather out and helps in easy and precise application of the lip colour.

Staying Power- When used as a lip liner, Shiseido Red Pink Lip Liner stays for about 4 hours on my lips. However, when applied as a base for lip colour, it increases to 6-7 hours. Also, I apply this as a lip colour alone over lip balm which provides a stay time of about 3-4 hours.

Overall Thought

Shiseido is one of the luxurious brands and this is my 3^rd product. I am very satisfied with the overall performance of the lip liner as it can be used in many ways and the shade is different form usual reds, nudes and pinks. Shiseido Red Pink Lip Liner brightens up my face and will suit all skin tone. The formula is creamy and it is decently priced as compared to other high end brand products.
