Whatever I have tried from Sephora’s Makeup line, it has impressed me so far. Be it their Jumbo Liners or Bronzer. So this time when I was at Sephora, I decided to pick some more products from their makeup collection. Going by the weather and trend, I picked Sephora Rouge Shine Lipstick No 46. I really like the black slender packaging of these lipsticks. Shade – Sephora Rouge Shine Lipstick No 46 , also known as “Soul Mate”, has been described as a glossy, semi-sheer Mulberry. I thought it would be a sheer version of MAC Rebel, but no its more berry toned and Rebel has plum tones. I am in love with this shade as this looks very beautiful against my complexion.

Texture & Formula – As described by the brand Sephora Rouge Shine Lipstick is a semi-sheer formula with glossy finish. The kind of finish you find in MAC Lustre Finish lipsticks. Despite of being super glossy it doesn’t feel sticky. Formula is very creamy and glides on smoothly. There is no shimmer in the formula and that makes it a good choice for those who want glossy lips without using shimmery formulas. Its creaminess keeps lips soft and moist through out the wear.Pigmentation – The shade is semi sheer, it evens out lips but doesn’t conceal pigmentation completely. However that’s the reason why I am wearing this color almost everytime I go out. Wearing darker shades is easier when formula is sheer.

Staying Power – Sephora Rouge Shine Lipstick No 46 stays on for good 3-4 hours and leave a nice berry pin tint behind that stays for another hour or so. 

Overall Thoughts

Sephora Rouge Shine Lipstick No 46 has impressed with the formula. Its creamy and very glossy. Shade itself is really pretty and would look amazing against darker skintones. I am definitely picking more glossy formulas from this range.
