Rimmel Tempting Turquoise Scandaleyes Shadow Stick (Rs 415 for 3.2g) available at NykaaI wanted to try these shadow stick since a long time and zeroed on this shade as I haven’t tried this kind of shade much.

A word on the product: ‘Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow Stick by Rimmel London is a creamy and blendable eye shadow that provides a rich, intense colour impact with a luminous finish. 24HR wear. Waterproof & Smudge-proof.’

Shade- Rimmel Tempting Turquoise is a bright turquoise blue with slight aqua tone. It has shimmer in it which is non-gritty.

Packaging- Rimmel Tempting Turquoise Scandal Eyes shadow stick has similar packaging like NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils. These are sharpen able and have a black chubby pencil kind of packaging.

Texture & Formula- The texture of the Rimmel Tempting Turquoise is soft and creamy. However, it is not overly creamy that it can break. It glides on easily and blends well. The shimmer present is non-gritty. It is visible on lids but it isn’t OTT. The shade is easy to apply and sets quickly. Mostly such shades stain the lids but this shadow stick doesn’t stain my lids and comes off easily with a cleanser. It is water-proof.Pigmentation- Rimmel Tempting Turquoise is incredibly pigmented and one swipe imparts good amount of shade. It can be further built up with another swipe. The shimmer present doesn’t fly over the face.

Staying Power- The scandal eyes shadow stick has an amazing staying power. I have worn this shade in humid climate for almost 10 hours and it was intact and I am sure, it could stays for 1-2 hours more. It doesn’t crease or fade or budge which is great.

Overall Thoughts

I am highly impressed by the Rimmel Tempting Turquoise shadow stick. It is simply amazing in terms of quality, shades available, formula and affordability. The formula is soft and creamy. It is easy to apply and blends well with other products. I have used this as a base under powder eye shadow and it performed well. The shade is immensely pigmented and one swipe is enough. It stays for 10+ hours which is superb.

The shimmer present is non-gritty. It doesn’t fly all over the face. The formula is water-proof. There are many other shades available in the range that can be used for daily wear as well. Tempting Turquoise is a slight different shade and I wear it along with a soft brown shade in the crease as it looks a bit stark on my eye lids. The only downside is the wastage in sharpening.
