Finally managed to lay my hands on these beauties and bought two colours Stellar and Apocaliptic from 8 shades available in this range.

What Product claims?

The intense rich colour of a lipstick, enhanced by a satin smooth shine. The earth-shattering lip lacquer from Rimmel London!

My Thoughts: Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer is a unique product being a lip lacquer, so it has the colour of a lipstick and shine of a gloss with no stickiness. The thicker you layer, the glossier it looks and makes your lips fuller. Glossy finish disappears after sometime and leaves behind a semi matte finish. Rimmel Apocalips in Apocaliptic and Stellar Review and Swatches (1)Description of Shades:

Apocaliptic : It is a bold & beautiful fuchsia pink colour, which suits medium to fair skin beauties and brightens up the face. Very pigmented which is an added bonus. The colour is bright, so perfect for summers and suitable to wear in the evening parties due to boldness of the shade. But you can also make it wearable during the day by blotting and wearing as a stain. Very light weight; can’t even feel you have put something on lips.

Stellar: It is bright neon coral-pink colour. Very eye catching and gorgeous shade and everyone’s favourite. I am into more coral these days as they are perfect for summers. When applied, it alternates between bright pink and red look which can be confusing. This is one shade which brightens my mood!Rimmel Apocalips in Apocaliptic and Stellar Review and Swatches (4)Packaging: The packaging is very classy, chic, elegant and stylish. The upper part of plastic tube is all black while the lower part identifies the colour. Brand name is embossed on the body and there is a white sticker which is pasted on the lower base with product name. The lid fits nice and tight, so need not worry while travelling. The plastic tube is clear, so the colour inside at the end of tube is the actual product colour. I love the design of tube with its premium, 3D look.

Applicator: It comes with a doe-foot applicator to apply a full flash of colour without re-touching. The doe-foot applicator has a unique design with a tiny hole in the middle which catches the right amount of the product and gives full coverage in one go. The sponge tip is so soft that you can easily feel the sponge smoothness while applying.

Texture: It is creamy in texture and gives gorgeous glossy finish which turns into matte after sometime but not uncomfortable at all and does not dry your lips. I haven’t had any issues with bleeding or feathering. It glides effortlessly, doesn’t feel sticky and my hair never gets tangled with it. The formula is very moisturizing but gives a semi matte finish in the end. Can easily transfer on to everything (cups, glasses in particular, should also check your teeth before leaving the house), that’s a negative point. The fruity smell reminded me of Appy (apple juice drink) which was strong when applied but fades away quickly, so not overly bothering. The consistency of these products is amazing and is what impressed me the most.

Overall Thoughts

I absolutely adore Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers. I have been using them regularly as they r quite wearable and perfect for summer. Yes one should be careful while applying as it may transfer to your teeth during application. The pigmentation is awesome; a single swipe gives a pretty good coverage. Really impressed with the colours, all shades are pretty, would have loved to see a few more!
