Revlon Photoready Skinlights (Rs 850 for 30 ml) available at Jabong
Revlon PhotoReady Skinlights Face Illuminator, once a cult favorite by top makeup artists, is now a part of the innovative PhotoReady collection. That means thelightweight, sheer illuminator contains photochromatic pigments that bend and reflect light to help diffuse and minimize flaws as well as light-capturing crystals to bring new luminous dimension to skin. The new formula banishes dullness and instantly brightens skin for a lit-from-within look. Read more HERE
Revlon Photoready Skinlights is available in 3 shades – Pink Light, Peach Light & Bare Light. As always I chose the darkest variant available.
I had the original version of skinlights ages ago and I didn’t know how to use it, so it occupied my drawer and then got a place in my bin. Gladly Now I know how such face illuminators can be used ! I am not much of a highlighter person but everyone wants glowing skin once in a while. Revlon Photoready Skinlights Face Illuminator can be used alone or mixed with foundation. I have used it both the ways and I prefer the latter one. I mix it with my liquid foundation , 2 drops in 2 pumps, and that ratio works very well. It gives a glowing finish without being overly dewy like MAC Strobe Lotion. Another plus point is that these 3 variants cover almost all skintones.
Photoready Skinlights Face Illuminator has micro shimmers, bare light has golden. They are very fine and you can’t really spot them on face. It just catches and reflects light !
I am sure you can only see a subtle glow, no sign of glitter or shimmer whatsoever. I really wanted to put up a full face shot but my left eye has got infection :/
In the picture I haven’t used powder to set it, or else it would have defeated the whole purpose. Being a photoready formula it looks beautiful in flash photography. I have used flash in all the above pictures and nothing looks over the top.
Overall Thoughts
Another winner product for me after Revlon Peach Glow Highlighting Palette. Liquid Illuminators look more natural than powder one IMO. Being a non-highlighter person I am so loving Revlon Photoready Skinlights, it provides a subtle healthy glow and looks fantabulous in flash photography. If you love to sport a dewy, healthy glow, grab one of these.

It looks beautiful but sigh….the price tag, I mean it is supposed to be drugstore so should be around 500

Couldn’t agree more Nia, such price hikes hurt :/

Even I had the original version around 3 years back but didn’t use it much…I mean I was a kid and it was my first makeup product bought for a school function, I still have it 😀
