Revlon Photoready Powder Foundation Review Swatches Photos

Revlon Photoready Powder Foundation (Rs 1200 for 10.5 gm)Revlon Photoready Two Way Powder Foundation Review Swatches Photos (1)Revlon Photoready Two Way Powder Foundation Review Swatches Photos (3)The Photo ready range has been in rave all through for its camera friendly properties. This one was added later to the existing range.

Shade- I purchased the shade natural ochre along with Revlon photo ready airbrush mousse makeup. At the counter, the shade blended well and looked natural but when I use it wet, it looks very light. It has yellow tones but this is meant for NC 25 skin tone. It looks very light for my NC 35 skintone  when used wet. When used as a compact or for setting the foundation, it is apt.

Packaging- Revlon Photoready Powder Foundation is housed in a sleek matte black thin case having foundation at one side and a sponge applicator at the other side. The shade name is provided at the back.Revlon Photoready Two Way Powder Foundation Review Swatches Photos (2)Texture & Formula – The powder is very silky to touch. It is finely milled and goes on smoothly. It blends easily when used dry as a compact or powder foundation but it can be a bit streaky when used wet. It has a bit of fallout in the pan when used dry. The formula is great. It is oil-free and fragrance free. It doesn’t clog pores .It provides an absolute matte finish. It has spf 19.

Regarding the camera friendly option, it will definitely look good under flash photography but my shade is way too light for me so I don’t use it for taking pictures.

The best way to use this is to apply over a moisturizer for proper finish without any flaky skin.

Coverage/ Pigmentation – Revlon Photoready Powder Foundation is decently pigmented being a powder foundation covering redness, blemishes, acne marks quite well without looking cakey or over. When used over foundation, it gives a flawless, poreless look.Revlon Photoready Two Way Powder Foundation Review Swatches Photos (4)Staying Power – The powder foundation stays comfortably for about 6-7 hours on my combination-oily skin. After that, I need to blot the T-zone.

Overall Thoughts

Revlon Photoready Powder Foundation is a decent product providing great coverage in powder form.I prefer using it dry over moisturised skin a smooth, flawless look. I really like the light weight formula and the coverage it provides even in powder form. It covers skin unevenness, blemishes quite well. However, when used wet it can look streaky and patchy as it dries up very fast. It never irritated my skin and stays for a decent amount of time. This is more suited for combination-oily skin as it gives matte finish to face and can accentuate dry skin.

I would not call it a must have as this is pricey and there are many similar products at less prices. There are limited shades available and it is very difficult to get perfect match. Also, this is more of a powder foundation and hard to use in wet form.
