I have sparse short lashes, you can also call them ‘Nightmare Lashes”, yeah no girl would want them. Finding an affordable mascara that has both volumizing & lengthening properties is like a treasure hunt for me. When I was sent Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara, I was quite intrigued with the name.

I am using Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara in 002 Black. Its quite black. Formula is not very wet and dries pretty quickly. I have to make sure that second layer/ coat is applied as quickly as possible otherwise my lashes start feeling stiff and it gets clumpy.

I always use 2 coats of Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara and it definitely lengthens my lashed. Wand is pretty big and doesn’t look like a volumising wand, but bristles are pretty hard and that ensures equally coat of mascara on all the lashes, and keeps them separated.Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara makes my lashes stand out by lengthening them, however I don’t see it giving any kind of volume. I really like the fact that it keeps them curled whole day long without clumping or flaking.

Its not waterproof but I haven’t observed smudging it on me. I personally like non-waterproof versions purely because they are easier to remove without causing any damage to eye lashes.

Overall Thoughts

Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara is a good product if you are looking for mascara that lenghtens and separates each lash. It stays on and keeps curls intact for good 5-6 hours which is pretty decent. However on my short sparse lashes it failed to show any volumizing effect even after 3 coats. Those who wear mascara on every day basis would find it a good product since its non-waterproof and easy to remove. Also the formula doesn’t get clumpy which is a huge plus when you are in hurry.
