Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy Orbit & Expressionist Monet (Rs 300 each)I am reviewing two products from Revlon newly released nail collection:
- Revlon Moon Candy in Orbit
- Revlon Expressionist in Monet
I was really excited to find them on one of the Revlon counters at Lifestyle. I liked the concept and found then reasonably priced. These are made of glass but don’t feel too heavy ! I find these only at Lifestyle ..Revlon Moon Candy in Orbit comes with a dark purple all over color on one side and a Flakie top coat on other end. Both of them regular brushes. Flakies looked luminous and gorgeous in the bottle ! The formula of the Purple coat is good, with right consistency and gives opaque finish in 2 coats. The game spoiler is the Flakie coat, Flakies are big and doesn’t set properly. The amount of flakies is so less in the formula that I had to apply 2 coats of it, and that ended up in a gloopy application ! Revlon Expressionist in Monet comes with a mint all over nail color at one end and a yellow with iridescent shimmer with a fine nail art brush on the other end. I really liked this combo, specially the yellow nail art shade ! The mint shade is quite sheer, so I needed 3 layers for opaque finish. Unfortunately the Yellow one with nail art tip is also pretty sheer, and takes a bit long to dry, so if you are planning to put two layers, wait for good 5 minutes. But I liked this duo better than Orbit simply because of the formula which isn’t great but better than Orbit. I might go check and buy more from expressionist range as it has come beautiful combos available. One of you had asked me to check if these stain nails. here is the picture of my nails after wearing Orbit for 2 days.. I can see a mild staining !I liked the idea and colors but the formula lacks at some places. If you are a nail art lover do try one or two from this range. They are fun to try.
Orbit : 2.7/5
Monet : 3.5/5
