Revlon By Marchesa 3D Jewel Appliqués (Rs 350) available at Medplusbeauty

This limited edition collection of intricate, textured nail appliques is inspired by couture house Marchesa’s signature designs. Available in 8 red-carpet ready shades at Walgreens, CVS, and select retailers nationwide through Fall 2013.

Each package comes with 2 sets of nail art Appliqués, with 9 gel stickers in each set. It also has a nail buffer and plastic cue tip pusher. I was expecting these appliques to be made of some stiff product, but was pleasantly surprised to see their Gel texture.

How To Apply

Select the size that best fits nail.
Appliqué should not touch skin or cuticle. Press appliqué firmly over entire surface of nail.
Fold remaining applique over natural tip and remove excess material by filing in a sideways motion in one direction.

I find application very easy. Revlon By Marchesa 3D Jewel Appliqués applies really well and stay on for good 4 days, and would have stayed a little more with the help of a nice top coat. Only challenge is that not all appliques fit nail shape, some of them are too narrow, but then there are 18 stickers to try and see which one perfectly fits !

I have used Revlon By Marchesa 3D Jewel Appliqués in Jeweled Noir, and believe me this was the design that I found most interesting of all 8 designs. Also I am new to such appliques application, so had a tough time shaping, cutting and filing them to perfect size. Removing these is very easy, gently pull the sticker from the corner and peel it off !

My Manicure wasn’t perfect and I got some wrinkles/ folds on my ring finger. And I must tell you how much attention my Manicure received 😀

Overall Thoughts

Those who love playing with nail art would love Revlon By Marchesa 3D Jewel Appliqués. Texture of the nail appliques makes them easy to apply and shape/ file them. But not all the sizes fit nails, infact most of the sizes are not wide enough to cover my nails well. These appliques stay on for good 3 days on me but need lot of filing to make edges smooth. You get 18 appliques in total so no matter how many times you make mistakes, you still have plenty of appliques to experiment with. For a novice like me who is new to all these nail stickers, it was easy and fun to apply. Revlon By Marchesa 3D Jewel Appliqués are limited edition products so grab them when these still on the shelves.
