After 4 years of beauty blogging I know what tones / shades would look good against my complexion. I pick shades based on their tones and know mauve, berry & plums looks good on me apart from classic red. When I think of an everyday shade “Mauve Pink” is what comes to my mind. I either wear mauve pinks or brown pinks as an everyday shade as this combo doesn’t wash me out. However I don’t wear too neutral shade and love some color on my lips. I have been loving Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks and Mad About Mauve is my recent go-to shade.There is a lot to like about Revlon Super Lustrous Range. Firstly it has some nice sheer colors like Kiss Me Coral, Cha Cha Cherry & Berry Couture and some super pigmented Creamy colors like Grape Juice , BlackBerry & Rich Raspberry . Also the packaging looks equally good, you can never go wrong with gold and black 🙂

Shade – Revlon Mad About Mauve is a beautiful Pink-Mauve color. This one shade would be universally flattering. Girls with medium-deeper skintones can wear as an everyday color as well.

Texture & Formula – Mad About Mauve is a cream finish lipstick. Its creamy and moisturizing. I like how it doesn’t have shimmers and gives a very nice polished look. Formula doesn’t settle in fine lines nor does it accentuates them. I like how my lips feel moisturized for a long time. Also after some time it loses its creamy finish and looks semi-matte.

Pigmentation – The shade is quite pigmented and helps in achieving even toned lips. Revlon Mad About Mauve  covers pigmentation very easily.Staying Power – Revlon Mad About Mauve has a decent staying power. On me it stays on for good 4-5 hours. It doesn’t leave any stain or tints after wearing off.

Overall Thoughts

Revlon Mad About Mauve Super Lustrous Lipstick is a nice everyday shade for fair to medium skintones. For girls with deeper skintone it will work as a perfect neutral lipstick. Formula is nice and moisturising and keeps lips supple. A good product on decent price.
