Shade – Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Rendezvous is a gorgeous red under toned orange with golden micro shimmer. It looks orange in the packaging but comes out warmer on lips.

Packaging – I like the packaging which is very much similar to Clinique chubby sticks.A retractable chubby pencil packaging having the same shade as the balm stain which makes it easy to store and locate. Shade name and number are provided at the other end of the pencil packaging.Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Rendezvous Review & Swatches (6)Texture & Formula – The texture is smooth and soft but it isn’t very creamy and buttery. The balm stain glides on easily on lips but it needs 2-3 swipes for the shade to show up properly. I find the formula to be moisturising but not very hydrating. It is light weight and feels comfortable on lips even after 5-6 swipes. The shimmer present is very minute, non-gritty and not visible on lips. It gives slight sheen and doesn’t settle in the lip lines.

It provides a semi-glossy finish on lips that looks great. It doesn’t have any tendency of bleeding on over application.Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Rendezvous Review & Swatches (5)Pigmentation – One swipe provides very sheer colour to lips. For medium coverage, at least 3 swipes are needed which can be built to full coverage with 5-6 swipes. I, personally like medium coverage better than full coverage as it looks great on my skin. It is easy to cover pigmented lips with medium coverage.

The balm stain leaves a slight orange tint on lips when it wears off.

Staying Power – Rendezvous stays for about 4-5 hours on lips. It doesn’t transfer too much onto other objects. However, the initial glossy finish soon gets dry and gradually fades away. I suggest applying them on properly exfoliated lips as it accentuates flaky skin.Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Rendezvous Review & Swatches (3)

Overall Thoughts

I was not very excited to try out this range as I like creamy formula but I am happy to have this as the finish and effect of the balm stain is great. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Rendezvous is such a shade that will suit all skin tones but it is more flattering on dusky tones as the shade is on the warmer side. The formula is light weight and moisturising. It has mint fragrance which is very refreshing and adds cooling sensation on lips. Rendezvous can be used sheerly as a hint of colour on lips which can be built up to full coverage. However, it isn’t very hydrating and needs to be applied on properly exfoliated lips.
