Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters Review – Red Velvet , Raspberry Pie

Two most-awaited products so far have been Maybelline 24 Hr Color Tattoo Eyeshadows & Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters, in my opinion. For the later one, I had my husband running across the streets of Singapore, finding shades in pinks/reds for me. But even after talking to couple of SA’s he couldn’t get me anything :/ Thank god he was not much annoyed with my madness ..

So when I heard that these beauties have been launched in India, I was checking and searching them at every Revlon counter, coming in my way .. Finally I got two of them 🙂

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters – Rs 600 each available at Lifestyle stores. I got Red Velvet & Raspberry Pie.

Packaging of Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters is almost similar to Colorburst Lipsticks except the caps have been translucent & longer. The color of the cap is similar to the product inside.

Texture is very buttery .. They live up to their name “Lip Butters”..  The consistency is smooth, creamy, and glides on easily without tugging.

Red Velvet is a deep brown-red color with glossy finish. Its pretty pigmented and covers up lip-pigmentation very well !! In my opinion this shade will compliment any skin tone.

Raspberry Pie is a beautiful rich raspberry color with a glossy finish.. This shade instantly brightens up the face .. This one is pigmented too and gives opaque coverage, hiding any lip pigmentation.

Staying Power is pretty less. I think its due to their balmy texture. Both the colors stayed on me for 2-3 hours. Even once the color disappears it leaves slinght stain and comfortable hydrated lips behind.

Price is bit too steep as compared to how they have been priced in other countries. Rs 600 pinches for such a small quantity of the product. I would have appreciated had they were priced decently the way Maybelline has priced its color tattoos !!

In my opinion there are lot of other options in the market where you can buy similar product priced much cheaper.

That’s how these look on me

Red Velvet

Raspberry Pie

Overall Thoughts

I do agree with claims of Revlon about these lip butters. They are on a thin line between a lip balm & lipstick. Not all the shades launched in India are opaque, they vary from sheer to medium coverage. Revlon Colrburst Lip Butters are blessings for dry lips and definitely going to be a must have for me during winters.

Ratings : 3.75/5 (-1.25 for less quantity & high price)

I love the Red Velvet one! I think it’s next on the list. Both look so pretty on you! I agree that they are a bit pricey, they’ve made them $4 more expensive in India, I don’t know why!
