Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Juicy Papaya (Rs 650 for 2.5 g) available at Revlon Counters
Juicy Papaya is a new shade in the Colorburst Lip Butter range along with 3 other shades. It is part of the Spring/Summer collection-Pacific Coast for 2013.
Shade : The shade Juicy papaya is a beautiful peachy coral sans any shimmer.It is glossy but very sheer.
Packaging : The packaging is just like the earlier Lip Butters having a plastic outer cover and Colorburst quilted pattern. The outer case matches the Lip Buttershade inside and is slightly translucent. Also, they have a transparent top to see the shade. The shade name and number are provided at the bottom.
Texture &Formula : The texture of the lip butter is very smooth and creamy. This kind of texture leads to slight breakage of the lip butters and it might not withstand the Delhi temperature. I always store my lipsticks near A/C so the chances of breakage are low in that case.
It is very hydrating and moisturising. I have somewhat dry lips and this keeps them moisturised even after it wears off. It doesn’t settle in the lip lines.
Pigmentation : The lip butter is semi- sheer providing glossy finish. It builds up to medium coverage which will help covering mild pigmented lips. I have to swipe it 2-3 times to get proper shade. Also, I would like to mention that the shade is such that I might not show up on very dark skin tone as it is light.
Staying Power : Staying power is average for about 2 hours maximum as the shade is very sheer and creamy.
Ease of Application : The lip butter is easy to apply due to its soft texture but extreme creamy nature can lead to breakage.
Overall Thoughts
I am highly satisfied by the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Juicy Papaya as I love sheer glossy lip shades these days. This shade adds just the right amount of colour needed and is very moisturising. I suggest checking out this shade. They have also added 3 more shades out of which one is a pale pink and two other are pigmented shades.
