If you follow me regularly you would know how much I love lustrous finishes in lipsticks. I have always been a huge fan of MAC Lustre finish range and searched for a drugstore alternative of that formula. I believe my search has now ended at Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick. I love berry & plum shades, they compliment my medium-dark complexion very well. Revlon has recently launched Super Lustrous Lipgloss & lipsticks in 6 shades. I decided to go with Berry Couture since it was a beautiful shade. Packaging of Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick is classic gold and black.

Shade – Revlon Berry Couture is a beautiful plum shade with pink undertones. Its a wearable shade that has adequate amount of pink. I am sure that this particular shade would look good on all skintones. Shade reminds me of MAC Plumful Lipstick

Texture & Formula – Berry Couture is a high shine formula. Texture is balmy , and it glides on smoothly without tugging or pulling. Formula feels moisturizing however if you have chapped lips, it wouldn’t do much for them. Best is to exfoliate them before putting this formula on. Due to high glossy finish it tends to get little slippery and moves out of lip line, but that can be fixed with a matching lip liner. There is no shimmer in the formula.Pigmentation – Berry Couture is sheer and I have to swipe it 4-5 times to get medium coverage. However it does even out my lips and covers pigmentation to a great extent.

Staying Power – Revlon Berry Couture stays on for good 3-4 hours. It leaves a beautiful tint behind that stays on for another hour.I have worn Berry Couture and Pink Pop lip gloss in sephora bronzer review also HERE. This is the combo I am sporting these days.

Overall Thoughts

I really like the color and finish of Revlon Berry couture. High shine finish gives illusion of plumper lips. Texture is very creamy and stays put for good 3-4 hours. It you love plum pink lipsticks, this is the shade you should get.
