Review Alaya Spa & Salon

Who doesn’t love a relaxing spa session after long hectic week? Being mother of a one year old kid , now I need such sessions more than ever. I have been to couple of spas lately and when got an invite to visit Alaya Spa & Salon, I agreed for a visit instantly. Alaya Spa & Salon saketalaya spa & salon saket review (1)About Alaya

“TT FOOTCARE is proud to open its door to you with its first DAY SPA and wellness center ALAYA , meaning the eighth stage of nirvana. With seven years of expertise in foot reflexology, shiatsu and traditional thai body work out, we offer you a wide range of international therapies including contemporary as well as traditional asian and Tibetan therapies. With a contemporary Tibetan buddhisim ambience designed to be sanctuaries for the inner self, trained therapist and use of authentic products, every invigorating treatment will take your mind, body and spirit to a new high.”

I met Mr Gyurme Tenzing, Director Alaya Spa & Salon, and had a detailed discussion about Alaya Spa and services it offers and how different it is from regular spas and saloons mushrooming everywhere. I appreciated his passion and the fact that customer’s experience & satisfaction is his ultimate motto.alaya spa & salon saket review (8)“Alaya’s journey started back in 2008 from DLF PH 4,Galleria market. As Gurgaon being a corporate hub the people living and working there travelled abroad regularly, making them exposed and they could easily relate to our concepts. They pioneered the concept of exclusive services like FOOT REFLEXOLOGY, SHIATSU (Japanese therapy) and TRADITIONAL THAI BODY WORK OUT. After 8 years of expertise, market experience and confidence they have finally started our in-house brand ALAYA (meaning the final state of one’s mind before attaining nirvana, according to Tibetan Buddhism) operating in 3 different locations in Gurgaon and south Delhi Saket.”alaya spa & salon saket review (2)alaya spa & salon saket review (3)I visited branch at PVR Anupam market in Saket that has recently been revived into a 3 level all Burmese teak wood interior organic spa, a one of a kind Luxury Organic Day Spa + Salon, with Tibetan Buddhism as the key theme. The location itself is prominent and makes the spa al the more accessible.I can’t stress enough how important role of the interior/ decor of a Spa is, in my case it totally effects my mood. The Teak wood work & Tibetan paintings (hand paintings) adds a touch of nature and instantly calms and relaxes mind. Interiors look beautiful and Buddhist chantings makes the spa session all the more relaxing and calming. alaya spa & salon saket review (5)alaya spa & salon saket review (7)Spa has 5 rooms, 2 are couple rooms and 3 are single. I liked the idea of getting massage/ therapy done with spouse. All the rooms are housed with steam shower. Rooms were quite spacious and neat. Once the spa session starts the therapist offers disposable undies and a robe to change. Entire spa has dim lights I have used flash to click all the pictures.alaya spa & salon saket review (9)alaya spa & salon saket review (12)The Session

Gyurme recommended Traditional Tibetan Massage (Rs 3500 for 90 mins). I had to remove my shoes and staff provided me slippers. Spa rooms are located on 1st floor. Therapist used Extra Virgin Olive Oil mixed with lavender oil. The aroma itself was so calming. She started from back, then moved to legs, than arms and chest area. She repeated the process twice and it made me so relaxed that I slept for almost half an hour during the therapy. The therapist was very professional, soft spoken and asked if the pressure was right and how was I feeling. The massage ended with head massage (I asked or it).

After that I went for steam and shower and therapist asked me come downstairs (gorund floor where the salon is) to get my hair washed. Salon has spa look and feel too , that ways one can sit and relax while getting their hair cut or washed or pedicure manicure done. This is what makes Alaya Spa different from regular spa, One stop shop for all your beauty & pampering needs. alaya spa & salon saket review (13)I was delighted to see that they use Moroccan Oil and L’Oreal products for hair services and US Based Luxury Skin care brand REPECHAGE for spa facials and treatments. Repechage Four Layer Facial has been nominated as “The Best Facial of the century” by Cosmopolitan UK. alaya spa & salon saket review (14)alaya spa & salon saket review (15)alaya spa & salon saket review (16)I got my hair trimmed by one of the stylists, she also listened to my preferences and share lots of tips to get volume in hair and how to style them without using hot tools (Blow dryer etc). They have flat fee of Rs 500 for haircuts.

I enjoyed Brown Rice Tea served in beautiful ceramic cup. The flavour was very different but pleasant. alaya spa & salon saket review (17)Overall Thoughts

My experience at Alaya Spa & Salon was very pleasant. Everything about them is exceptional right from the Burmese teak wood interior , the soft spoked humble staff, aroma of oils, Buddhist chantings played in the background, the attentive & professional therapist, high end products and last but not the least quality of services and customer satisfaction. I would highly recommend Alaya Spa & Salon if you are looking for a relaxing session in lap of nature. You can know more by visiting www.alayaspa.in

I too agree with the others :). Alaya is certainly the best place to unwind! My husband and I have been regulars from a while and vouch for their Tibetan Oil based therapy. When not in a mood to get soaked in oil, I prefer the Thai massage (dry therapy).
I also love the awesome facials that these guys offer and was very happy to see that they had the Repechage Facials which is the latest buzz around 🙂 ! Great going guys!!!!

Couldn’t agree more, maybe Gyurme’s passion for giving the best to his customers is what makes all the difference. I would love to be there soon !
