I bought couple of products from RealTechniques.com last month. I was unsure as to how much time delivery will take and in what condition products would reach me. But to my surprise the order placement and delivery was quite swift and the two brushes that I ordered reached me within 14 days, safe & sound !

I was looking for a good travel brush that could be perfect for powder products, since during summers I keep only powder makeup products in my makeup bag. Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki Brush looks quite promising and since I had already tried couple of Real Techniques Brushes in the past, I gave in and ordered this one.

As you can see Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki is quite dense with a slant top, which makes it perfect for applying powder as its design helps reach out every corner & curve of one’s face. Brush is quite fluffy and picks up right amount of perfect without packing on too much color into its bristles/hair. I like how its perfect for gently sweeping product to the face.

Not only for powder foundation, I have also use this retractable kabuki brush for blush and bronzer application. Its slanted top is perfect to sweep right amount of color across your cheeks. So for me its a “Jack Of All Trades” or a multi-tasking brush. Its packaging makes it perfect to just throw in your travel makeup bag when you need multi tasking and smaller in size brushes than regular ones.

I have already washed it twice and it hasn’t shed more than 1-2 hair. Also it maintains its shape after drying.

Overall Thoughts

You all must have realized as to how pleased I am with the overall performance of Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki Brush. If you are looking for a travel size, multi tasking, good value for money brush – I will highly recommend this one. Apart from the flimsy cap, I don’t see any other flaw in this product.
