Ever since Real Techniques launched Bold Metals collection earlier this year, my hands were itching to get hold of these beauties. Since these are pretty expensive and buying them from Real techniques website would also have added shipping + customs, I decided not to pick any, until I spotted these on Flipkart. After watching couple of video reviews I picked two of these – 100 Arched Powder Brush & 300 Tapered Blush Brush.

Real Techniques has divided its Bold Metals brushes into 3 categories – Base, Finish & Eyes. Each category has 2-3 brushes. I have enough eye brushes so picked one from each base & finish category. Base category brushes are golden, finish category are rose gold & eye brushes are silver.

Can’t stop admiring the finish and feel of Arched Powder Brush. It has white bristles with a tapered finish, this one is a paddle brush, that means its not round like other powder brushes. I have been using it for almost 5 weeks now and because of the super soft bristles this has become my go to powder brush. Due to its tapered fluffy finish it picks right amount of product from the pan and distributes it evenly. I like to sweep it lightly across the face, focusing on the T-zone.

The brush handle is quite heavy and feel luxe. Washing and drying is quite a quick process and you get crisp white bristles after each wash. Due to synthetic bristles drying time is quite less. Also Real Techniques brushes are cruelty free !

As if I needed any more blush brushes, but that rose-gold packaging was irresistible. Also this tapered blush brush is quite multi purpose because of its tapered pointed design and small size.

Bristles are again super soft and pick powder products nicely. I have been using it for two purposes – Blush & Setting under eye area with powder. Its pointed so it fits the under eye area nicely and helps light dusting of powder to set the concealer easily. I find the size quite small for a blush brush, but if you are looking for a precise placement of blush on the cheeks, then this can be a perfect tool. I was using Real Techniques Blush Brush earlier which sometimes feels too big for a blush brush.

I am pretty impressed with the quality and design of these brushes and might pick more from this collection.
