Products I Am Loving These Days – Skincare Favourites

I don’t do monthly favourites because no matter how many new products I try, not all of them make it to my favourites list. I use products for a long time to really see if I like them or not. I get bored of using same products over and over but if I have stuck to one product for more than 2 months, it means I love it. So I dug out my current skincare stash and got few of the gems. So today I am going to share the products I am Loving these days a.k.a Skincare Favourites.

Products I Am Loving These Days - Skincare Favourites

I have quite few skincare favourites actually.

Lets talk about my skin first, I have dry/combination skin which is very sensitive & acne prone. I know thats a rare combination and thats why I have to test & try a dozen of products before finding a holy grail one.

These are the products I am about to finish, and couple of them are a month old.

Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Mild – During one of the visits to Clinique store I decided to get skin consultation done. The executive there found out my skin type which was dry/combination. I have dry cheeks & normal T Zone with acne prone jaw line . I didn’t want to use face wash meant for acne since they dry out my skin. He suggested this one and it is quite a huge expensive bottle of face cleanser. But believe me this is the most gentle face wash I have ever tried. This bottle has lasted me more than 4 months and still has product left that should last me at least 2 weeks I need only one pump and it lathers up well and doesn’t irritates my eyes.

Forest Essentials Facial Tonic Mist – I have been using facial tonic mists from FE for over 3 years now. I generally buy their rose tonic mist but this time their limited edition mist – Bells caught my fancy. I was so used to of the rose scent that it took me a while to like this one. Bella has a strong floral scent that has grown on me. I love these mists and use them as toner after cleansing or exfoliating (scrubbing) my face. These are great for dry skin, one 100 ml bottle lasts me good 2-3 months easily.

Olay White Radiance Brightening Intensive Lotion SPF 24 – I love a light weight moisturiser for day time, preferably with some amount of SPF. This moisturiser from Olay is not only light weight but protects skin from sun damage. I take about 2 pumps and massage it on my face & neck. It absorbs into the skin within few seconds and keeps it moisturised without feeling heavy. A perfect moisturiser for everyday. The 75ml pump bottle has lasted me more than 2 months.

La Roche Posay Effacer Duo+ – This one product was always a mystery for me. I wanted to try it but never did because of its price and mixed reviews. However since my skin is congestion prone and develops acne/ white heads easily I thought of giving it a shot. as per the brand it is a light moisturiser for acne prone skin that prevents acne and works on blemishes. I don’t use it daily but on bad skin days. When I spot acne pimples about to pop, I apply it religiously for 2-4 days and those pesky pimples go away without leaving scars. I used it as a night cream throughout summers when the weather was too hot and my skin couldn’t take any other moisturiser. If you have acne prone skin, this is a must have product.

Aroma Magic Activated Bamboo Charcoal Facepack – I love charcoal face masks and this one from Aroma Magic is quite a popular one. I have been using it for more than a month and quite like the results. I have dry but acne prone skin so I limit its use to once a week only. This is a black coloured mask with charcoal , charcoal is known to draw out impurities and deep clean the skin. Which is something I love doing once a week at least. It does clean the skin and brightens it, I also like the way it smells, reminds me of camphor. The one in the picture is the new packaging.

TruSelf Organics Detoxifying Mask – Now you can see my obsession with these masks. No one likes bad skin and we all struggle to keep it as clear as possible. This mask is another favourite however after using it regularly for 2 months I have taken a break and using aroma magic mask. This mask is organic and natural, it has all the ingredients that you need for an acne /pimple free skin. It comes in a dry powder form which you need to dilute with water and apply. It dries and washed off quickly and my skin looks clearer and softer.

The Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalizing Sleeping Cream – Now you might think that using an oil based cream after facial oil would be too much , yeah thats what I thought initially. But the only reason it could make it to my skincare favourites is the light weight, gel like texture of this cream. I need only a pea size amount and it spread on my face and neck, leaving the skin plumped and non-greasy. Again I like the scent and the jar is huge. It should last me 3-4 months at least.

Kara Makeup Remover Wipes – I love this stuff ! these wipes are so good when it comes to makeup removal and travel. I took them to a small trip and it made my life easy. One wipe takes off all of your makeup without leaving any residue. These aren’t drippy or too wet, and saturated with enough liquid that can remove your makeup even long wearing one without much rubbing. One packet has 30 wipes.

The Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalizing Facial Oil – I am on my second bottle and love it to bits. This oil has transformed my skin, by making it more smooth and supple. I am in early thirties with no sign of wrinkles and dullness. Also I love facial oils because they are the best thing for my dry skin. However not all the oils suit me and I end up with breakouts, but thankfully this one doesn’t break me out. I love how it smells and massaging my face every night is a stress buster for me.

Rene Furterer Naturia Gentle Balancing Shampoo – One of my favourite shampoos of all time. The formula is perfect for my dry hair, as it is made of botanical ingredients without chemicals. The shampoo cleans hair effectively without drying them out. I am almost done with this tube and would repurchase another one soon.

I hope you all enjoyed my list of skincare favourites . I will keep on doing this feature every 2-3 months. Do let me know if you are enjoying any product these days !
