Prepare Hair Color at home from Beetroot and Henna.

Hair dying is something most of the fashion freaked ladies would want to do. Do you dream of getting into that deep brown, or burgundy, or organdy, or reddish brown color in your hair?

If so there is one natural way to attain a naturally beetroot henna color for your hair. This homemade hair dying method however does not promise you of those standard hair colors of the fashion world. Here you have no control over the exact hue of the color you want. Depends on the color staining that both beetroot and henna leaves behind.

Ingredients:

You might have guessed the key ingredients of this DIY – Hair Color. A bowl each of grated beetroot and henna powder. And of course water for getting into a pasty consistency.

Procedure:

In a metal pot, take all the grated beetroot. Add 2 cups of water and heat. Once the water boils, lower the flame and continue with prolonged heating. The quantity of the water should reduce to half of the original quantity (or even less). Allow it to cool.

Now take about some of the boiled beetroot and blend it with the same water used for boiling. Make a puree of boiled beetroot.

Add henna powder and mix well.

To this add all of the remaining water that was used for boiling beetroot. Mix well.

Add more henna powder if required to bring it to the thick consistency.

Allow the mixed setting for at least 2 hours before using.

Usage:

Apply neatly all over head. Pick up small groups of hair strands for applying this beetroot-henna pack for better results. Allow the application of the pack on hair for about 5 hours and then wash off.

The natural colored stain will stay at least for one week following which it will begin to lighten.
