I have oily-combination skin and oil-free moisturizers work best on my skin type. Though most budget-friendly oil-free moisturizers make ‘non pore-clogging’ claim, very few of those actually feels light on the skin. I always look for moisturizers with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, glycerine as my skin loves these ingredients.Pond's Light Moisturiser Non Oily Fresh Feel Review Photos Price

About Pond’s Light Moisturiser Non-oily Fresh Feel

Pond’s Light Moisturiser is a lightweight moisturiser which has 80% water based formula. This is an ideal skin care product for an all year round use. This vitamin E enriched, nourishing cream works well on face, hands & body. It leaves skin soft with a fresh glow all day.

Packaging: This cream comes in a wide-mouth plastic tub with screw lid. The body of the tub is light green while the lid is white. The tub has a peel-off seal in the opening of the tub to prevent contamination. I don’t like the concept of tub because products inside tub can get ruined easily.

Apart from the tub style packaging, I could find no other con. The tub is travel-friendly and leak-proof. One big and one small size is available foreveryone’s convenience. The pack mentions detailed ingredient list which, in my opinion, is really important.

Colour & Consistency: The cream is pure white in colour and its texture is medium to thick. It gets slightly more dense in winter. Though the texture is thick, it gets blended to the skin easily.

It does not feel heavy or sticky in winter but in humid summer time it feels slightly heavy on my skin. This cream would suit best on normal to dry skin in summer though dry skin people might find it lacking in dry winter.

Fragrance: This cream has a light floral fragrance. The fragrance is not rosy type, it inclines more on the lily notes. I don’t particularly love the fragrance but I do not hate it as well. The smell does not last long so it does not bother my senses.

Quantity & Price: This cream is priced at Rs.115 for 75ml. The bigger size comes around Rs.200-250. The price seems justified as less is more with this cream. I have used it for 6-8 weeks and still almost half of the product is remaining. The remaining product will last for 2 more months.Pond's Light Moisturiser Non Oily Fresh Feel Review Photos Price

My Overall Thoughts:

Pond’s has been quite famous for their cold cream but I have never had good relationship with it. Greasy cold creams cause severe breakouts to my acne-prone skin. When Pond’s came out with this oil-free cream last year I was quite excited. I thought this as an excuse to take a leave from my Neutrogena moisturizer and started to use this morning and night.

Though this cream says ‘oil-free’ it felt a bit greasy after application. It was summer and I sweat a lot. I noticed I am sweating more and more with this cream. The skin felt soft and smooth for initial 3-4 weeks. The dehydration subsided to some extent. After 1 month or so I started having breakouts out of nowhere and the blackheads issue also got worse.

So, I stopped using this cream. I thought this will work out in winter. I tried it for 3 weeks this winter and the acne issue returned. So, I am going to finish this tub on my body and not buying this again. Pond’s other Light gel moisturizer with Hyaluronic acid works far better than this.

I have sensitive skin so anything with fragrances is a no no. I also go for light moisturizers.
