No-mad soul is that of an eternal wanderer, a person who is exploring the world yet always finding his way back home , a place that’s truly his own. Inspired from the same spirit, The Park came up with No-Mad cafe with a unique décor and cuisines.
The Park Hotels, pioneers of luxury boutique hotels in India, brings another Anything But Ordinary experience to the city with ‘The Park No-Mad Cafe’ – the pop-up restaurant at India Design ID 2017, Decoration Pavilion. The place is conceptualized by Valerie Barkowski with an idea of a place where one can rest, relax and rejuvenate. The décor is carefully curated with elements that are integral part of everyday Indian life.
And not only the place leaves you spellbound but even the menu is curated in an fantastic way with taking the inspiration from street food across India, Morocco, Japan and many more but with a special Indian touch. Ah! I truly can’t stop bragging about the concept and decor as The Park has left no stones unturned.
Coming to food time now,
We started with
AMLA AND MINT BUNTA,
They came in cute jars with fresh greenly look. It was so refreshing yet tasty. Delhi’s weather is being so hot and due to which we got so dehydrated but ah! This drink truly saved us; it was an amazing and super tasty drink with freshness of home grown amla and fresh mint.
Followed by,
AMRITSARI CHOLEY KULCHA
Being a Punjabi, I can’t get over choley kulcha ever, the moment I saw its name on menu I knew this had to be in my list and bravo! I make great decisions. The aloo pyaaz kulcha with choley and green teekhi chutney was absolutely divine. The flavors’ were bang on and I was totally satisfied with this dish.
FISH AND CHIPS
What better than fried fish with potato chips in starters? The platter was to drool over for; Fish was so soft and delicious plus tartar sauce made it more delicious and palatable, a truly recommended platter.
CHICKEN SOUP
The chicken pieces were tender and nicely cooked, and the noodle soup had nice texture. Overall, the soup is what you’d probably expect in but I just felt that it might have been a bit thick and soupy, rest everything was on point be it taste or texture.
INDONESIAN CHICKEN SATAY
This platter came with grilled marinated chicken on skewers, peanut sauce and wok tossed jasmine rice. The idea was originated from Indonesian cuisine but it does have Indian punch. The chicken was juicy and properly cooked with rice and sauce balancing it perfectly; it was a full flavored appetizing dish.
With this the starters and main course ended here.
And it was dessert timeeee,
We had,
MYSORE CACAO CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
Having a sweet tooth and special love for desserts, I was all ready to attack this beautiful chocolate mousse, the mousse was bombarded with sweet chocolate flavors, it was such a simple yet pleasant dessert.
SPANISH CRÈME CATALANA
Well we were completely unsure about this dessert but when it came, we were totally impressed by its beauty, it was such a photogenic dessert and tasted divine. All the elements of this dessert i.e. whipped cream, cape berry and grapes were bang on with extremely toothy taste.
With these savory dishes and scrumptious desserts our lunch ended.
The Park No-Mad cafe is fantastic with having perfect fashion and food mixture, a perfect place where one can catch a quite break from the pulsating fair and enjoy.
