How Did I Pack My Travel Makeup Bag For A Short Trip

Finally after a gap of one year, I finally got time for a mini-vacation. We went to Nainital, and the place is ahhmazing ! We decided to pack light, since it was only 3N/4D trip and nobody likes to carry 2 suitcases full of unnecessary stuff. Since I was travelling with my daughter, half of the luggage was occupied with her stuff. I got a small corner to fit all of my clothes+toiletries+ makeup. I don’t really enjoy wearing makeup while travelling, but packed few of the basic stuff anyways. I picked only handful of stuff for  My Travel Makeup Bag and will tell you why.

How Did I Pack My Travel Makeup Bag For A Short Trip

Since travelling involves a lot of walking & sight seeing I carried products that don’t need touch ups. I took –

Faces Ultime Pro Mineral Loose Powder – This product comes with sponge, matched me perfectly and very light weight on the skin. It takes me only few seconds to apply & blend this powder and it quickly provides light coverage + evens out skin tone to an extent. Also it sets concealer in place.

Ingot Under Eye Concealer – I really like this product. The concealer is light weight, and offers medium coverage. The formula is runny and sets quickly , so you don’t really have to worry about it creasing or caking under the eyes. A light dusting of powder sets it in place for a long time. The shade matches me really well , hence doesn’t look made-up.

The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder – Now some of you may find carrying a bronzer unnecessary, but for me it replaces blush. Blush can look obvious on cheeks, but a light dusting of bronzer ensures some warmth as well as light contouring. Even if you are in hurry, quickly apply some bronzer on the perimeters of your face and blend it quickly. It looks natural and adds color to your face.

Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki Brush – My all time favourite travel brush, it is retractable so bristles don’t get ruined if you keep it along with other products in the bag. It is small yet sufficiently large to apply powder products. I really love this brush and highly recommend if you are looking for a handbag brush.

Essence Silky Touch Kissable Blush – I took it just for the sake of keeping a blush. It is quite natural looking color and formula is really good + the packaging is light. However I didn’t use it.

Lakme Eyeconic Kajal 22hr formula – Oh I never thought I would use a kajal in place of an eye liner but due the ease of application + longevity, I reached out for this product throughout my trip. This kajal stays on for good 7-9 hours without smudging and doesn’t need touch ups !

Innisfree Eco Eyeliner – This is a water & smudge proof black liquid eyeliner. I really enjoy using it because of its felt tip. However I do take some time to get the wing perfect , hence couldn’t use it as much as i thought.

Colorbar Zoom & Whoosh Mascara – Well I am not a mascara person, but carried it unnecessarily. I didn’t use it more than once and wouldn’t be carrying mascara in future unless I am on a leisure trip.

The Face Shop Eye brow Pencil – My makeup is incomplete without a brow pencil. I love this product because it matches my brows perfectly + there is a spooli brush on the other end of this pencil. It stays on for a long time and really easy to use.

Sephora Creme Lip Stain No 4 – This is my fool proof lipstick. I like it because of its staying power + non transferability + comfortable formula.

MAC Mystical – This is one of the best neutral lipsticks I have, unfortunately its a limited edition color, however you can check out Creme In Your Coffee or MAC Mocha.
