PAC Pure Matte Lipstick Review Swatches Price Photos

I am a lipstick junkie and I love trying out new lipsticks and shades. When it comes to the drugstore brands, there are so many options to choose from. PAC is one such brand that makes amazing makeup and their Spotlight Concealers are one of my favourites. So, the brand recently launched their new lipstick range called PAC Pure Matte Lipstick and I got my hands on a couple of shades from it. I have been trying them out for a few days now and I will share with you what I feel about them.

Description:

Introducing the ultimate matte lipstick that saturates lips with ultra-rich, highly-pigmented, matte color that feels weightless and is incredibly comfortable on the lips. PAC Pure Matte Lipstick features a non-drying, creamy formula that glides on effortlessly and stays put all day so you never have to worry about bleeding, cracking, or re-applying.

Features:

• Features an ultra-creamy texture that glides on brilliant colour in one swipe
• The formula hydrating and non-drying, feels incredibly comfortable on the lips

Packaging: The PAC Pure Matte Lipsticks come in a black cardboard packaging which looks classy. When you open the outer packaging, you find the lipstick inside it which is black in colour as well. The outer box contains the brand’s name, several other details and the bottom part of it mentions the shade number and name.

Neither the box nor the lipsticks are colour coded, which is a little off since I cannot figure out the colour from the name and number. The lipsticks do not feel flimsy at all and are in a bullet form, which makes the application much easy.

Shade range:

These lipsticks come in 10 different shades, which is quite less when compared to other drugstore brands. I picked up 4 shades out of the 10 which are:

1. 04 Scandal – A deep purple with grey undertones. Would suit all skin tones
2. 07 Bare skin – A brownish nude with cool undertones. Would suit fair to medium skin tones
3. 08 Beach babe – A peachy nude with pink undertones and would suit fair to medium skin tones
4. 10 Hot stuff – A bright red with pink undertones that would suit all skin tones

Formula: The formula of the PAC Pure Matte Lipsticks is quite creamy, and they feel comfortable on the lips. Also, the colour payoff is very nice since I need just one swipe to coat my lips with the colour. I am quite impressed with the formula since it doesn’t dry out my lips and doesn’t sit on the contours of my lips.

Finish: They look completely matte on my lips, which I like and are not drying as well. I like how they look and feel on my lips.

Lasting time: The lipsticks last for about 5 to 6 hours if I don’t consume any oily food. But they tend to fade from the center of my lips if I eat anything oily.

Price and quantity: Each lipstick costs ₹725 for a quantity of 2.2 gm, which I feel is quite less, compared to other bullet lipsticks from the drugstore. Also, since the price is high, I had expected that they would come with a good quantity.

My overall thoughts:

I have mixed thoughts regrading PAC Pure Matte Lipsticks. I like the texture, formula and staying power of the lipsticks, but the shade range is a bit off and I wish the brand had launched some more inclusive shades that would suit the Indian skin tone.

Also, seeing the price of these lipsticks, the quantity is so less. I wish it came with some more of it so it would last for a longer time. There are better options in the market from other brands where you will get similar shades with a much better price and quantity.
