Oriflame has introduced Power Shine Lipstick range into The One makeup line. These lipsticks offer high shine formula which is perfect for the upcoming festival season. I like the sleek silver plastic packaging , however it does feel fragile and cheap when you hold it in your hand.
Oriflame The One Power Shine Lipstick (Rs 449)
Shades – Oriflame The One Power Shine Lipstick Cocoa Burst is a dark brown shade with copper colored shimmer. This is the shade that I can actually see me wearing, due to the sheerness of the formula it doesn’t look like a mature shade and can be worn by young girls. The other shade Pink Dazzle on the other hand is a light pink with chunky golden shimmers, not my kind of shade I must admit.
Texture & Formula – Texture of Oriflame The One Power Shine Lipstick is buttery, which glides on without tugging or pulling. The formula can be very well compared to a balm, which feels quite moiturizing on the lips and offers shine & tint. The shimmer present in the formula doesn’t feel gritty on the lips. You can also use it as a top layer on your matte lipstick to add moisture & shine.
Pigmentation – Since these are quite glossy, colors are quite sheer. Cocoa burst offers light to medium coverage, as the color is dark and conceals unevenness, however Pink dazzle looks almost like a clear gloss on the lips.
Staying Power – On me both the shades stay on for 2+ hours, depends entirely on how much you eat or drink. None of the colors leave any stain or tint behind.
I like the balmy and moisturizing formula of Oriflame The One Power Shine Lipsticks. These are better than glosses if you want to add shine or moisture to your matte lipsticks or can be worn on their own as a sheer wash of color on the lips. However if you are looking for good pigmentation or great color payoff, these wouldn’t impress you.
