I have never tried Oriflame lip products in the past, mostly because of the unavailability of an agent around me. However I have always heard good things about the formula. Oriflame has recently launched The One makeup range that has 8 shades to choose from. I am reviewing two of them today. Packaging reminds me of Inglot Slim get lipsticks however these are light weight and cost less.

Shades – Oriflame Violet Extreme is a beautiful orchid color, pink undertones make it wearable. Color looks good on me and I have been wearing it a lot these days. Forever plum on the other hand is a deeper plum-brown with golden shimmers.

Texture & Formula – Violet Extreme has a buttery, sheer formula. Forever Plum has a more creamy and opaque formula with gold shimmers. I am not fond of shimmers in my lip products, however the shimmer here doesn’t feel gritty , also it doesn’t show up much upon application. Both the shades feel extremely creamy and settle into a semi-matte finish after a while. Once set the formula turns slightly tacky/ sticky and doesn’t transfer on anything. It surely feels moisturizing and doesn’t make my lips dry, though after a while I could see lip lines accentuated. Lipsticks have a mild fruity scent.

Pigmentation – Oriflame The One lipsticks are sheer to medium coverage. Formula is buildable and an opaque coverage can be achieved in 2-3 swipes. Violet Extreme is sheerer than Forever Plum.

Staying Power – Both the shades stay on for 4-6 hours. Forever Plum’s staying power is quite impressive, it stays on for good 6 hours with a little fading.

Overall Thoughts

I am quite impressed with the formula & longevity of Oriflame The One Colour Unlimited Lipsticks. Both the shades are pretty and look good on my medium-deep complexion. Formula is moisturizing and stays put for good 4-6 hours with little fading. Good value for money!
