I am going to share my experience on Organic Harvest Organic Green Cucumber Toner. This is a vegan, cruelty free, alcohol and chemical free face toner for all skin types.

Toner and freshening face mists are among my dily skin care necessities. I have combination skin and my skin gets oily every 4-5 hours. I can’t use a face cleanser to wash off the excess oil every now and then because this way my skin will become dehydrated.

That is why I apply mists or plain rose water on my face and wipe off with a face tissue. Chemical based toners are not good for the skin in the long run. They comes with several negative side effects. So, I rely on alcohol free non-drying mists.

Packaging: This toner Comes in a transparent plastic bottle with spray dispenser. The cap also has a screw open system so the bottle can be reused once the toner gets over. The packaging is sturdy and spill-proof.

The spray system also works well. The packaging mentions all the necessary information but the ingredient list is only partially provided. Otherwise, there is no flaw in the packaging.

Colour & Consistency: The toner is a transparent thin watery liquid. It has pale green colour. No artificial colorant has been used in this. This is an alcohol free toner so the formula is not strong.

Though it has watery consistency, it feels quite soothing and hydrating on my skin. Organic Harvest Organic Green Cucumber Toner can be used in place of face mists for this reason.

Fragrance: It has a faint cucumber smell mixed with herbal fragrance. There is no artificial fragrance producing chemicals present in the formula so the smell comes from the ingredients used. The smell does not last long and does not feel overpowering to my senses.

Quantity & Price: This toner is priced at Rs.445 for 125ml. For the quantity the price seems a bit higher. These kinds of organic, chemical, alcohol and paraben free skin care items are pricier than the chemical based ones.

But, toners from similar compositions are available in the market at lower prices than this. Thabnkfully, this one is often available at good discounts both online and offline.

My Overall Thoughts:

I have used this toner as the second step of my skin care and as a face mist. Cucumber based products always give good results on my skin plus the other Organic Harvest products I tried till date have impressed me. Naturally, i had some expectations regarding this toner.

When I used Organic Harvest Organic Green Cucumber Toner  in my skin care or as face mist, it gave a soothing feel to my skin at first but after a few seconds I felt severe burning sensations in the sensitive areas of my face. I had slight redness on the sides of  my nose, cheeks.

The sensation settled down in a few minutes but the redness was still there for another 15 minutes. I have mixed it with my regular home face pack but that did not give my such burning feel. It did nothing to my pimples but did not broke me out as well.
