This is my first review here and trust me am so nervous and excited at the same time. I hope you find the review helpful. I am sucker for hot pink lipsticks and keep trying new formula and finish every now and then. We all have heard so much about OCC Lip Tar and they are my latest obsession, which is dangerous as they offer N number of shades and I keep adding them in my cart on and off.

Shade – Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Anime is described as Seriously Neon Fuchsia and is part of their permanent line of matte lip tar. The shade is vibrant blue based Fuchsia pink with semi matte finish to it, it is bright but not in your face and looks very flattering on our olive skin tone.Texture & Formula – OCC Lip Tar texture is somewhat runny and you need to be really careful while playing around as it can be messy at times. OCC Lip Tar comes in 3 formulas and this is from their matte range. It is not flat matte but has some satiny sheen to it which comes off in 2 hrs and then there is pure matte colour on your lip which doesn’t bleed or move. The lip tars may emphasis dry and flaky lips so you need to exfoliate them prior to use.

Pigmentation – Anime needs one thin layer to get opaque coverage but make sure that you don’t use too much of the product as it may bleed. It needs hardly two drops to cover every corner of lips, let it set for few seconds. I always use a concealer around the edges of my lips so that it doesn’t bleed.Packaging – OCC Lip Tar comes in squeeze tube with a small brush for handy application but I don’t find them travel friendly. Once you squeeze the tube there is little bit of oil separation so make sure to press the tube back and forth so that the product mix nicely – squish.

Staying Power – I get some 4 – 5 hours of wear with Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Anime when worn alone straight out of tube.

Overall thoughts

I love Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar and their sets are great to try out different shades and then invest in a full size tube, this is also a smaller version and I find this a good option for making custom lip colours. They do mix well with any other lip tar and you just need a teeny tiny amount to cover every corner of lips.
