NYX Little Susie Butter Lipstick Review Swatches Photos

Nyx has a wide range of lipsticks ranging from matte to sheer glossy formulas. I have tried their butter lipsticks long ago (around 2 years back) and liked the texture and finish. This time I got a bright pink shade from the same range and have been testing it out for almost a month now. Due to pigmented lips I avoid wearing sheer shades as color looks different on both the lips. However my lips are forever dry and sheer moisturizing formula is what I should be wearing. NYX Little Susie Butter Lipstick is probably the only sheer formula I have in my stash at the moment.

NYX Little Susie Butter Lipstick comes in colored plastic case which is clear from the middle. The color of the case is quite similar to the lipstick inside. It has shade name and number mentioned on a label at the bottom.

Shade – NYX Little Susie is quite bright strawberry pink, not my kind of shade. This shade would suit fair-medium complexion more, or if you enjoy bright shades, then give it a shot. I generally wear it with a darker lip liner otherwise it washes me out.

Texture & Formula – True to the description these lipsticks have a buttery smooth formula. It glides on smoothly without tugging or pulling. I have dry lips and formula feels quite moisturizing even if I skip lip balm. The shade though accentuates chapped lips and sets into wrinkles, which surely looks unpleasant. I tried to even it out by using my finger but couldn’t. So I always make sure to exfoliate lips before applying it. The texture is a bit hard to work with despite of it being smooth & buttery.

Also the lipstick has melted and broken from the base even if it isn’t that hot in delhi these days !

Pigmentation – The formula of these lipsticks is sheer hence you wouldn’t get any coverage. Best way is to apply a coloured lip liner as base before this lipstick so that if you have discoloured lips, the lip liner can create an even base to work on.

Staying Power – NYX Little Susie stays on for 2-3 hours max. The darker shades from this range stay on for a little longer. You can check out more swatches of Fizzies, Fun Size, Fireball & Juju

Overall Thoughts

I like Nyx Butter Lipstick for its buttery smooth texture, Little Susie is a bright pink and can be good to brighten up the complexion. The texture however is  bit difficult to work with and stays on for a really short time.
