Shade – NYX Butter Gloss is available in 22 shades. I have bought two shades – Strawberry Parfait & Peach Cobbler. NYX Butter Gloss Strawberry Parfait is a pink purple shade and peach cobbler is a bright coral-orange color. Packaging of the lip glosses matches the color of the gloss inside so If you have more than 2 shades, it will be easy to identify shade and store them together.
Texture & Formula – True to its name NYX Butter Gloss has buttery consistency. Formula is very moisturizing and slightly thick. Due to its moisturizing abilities it does feel slightly sticky but not uncomfortable. Formula is sans shimmer/ glitter. It doesn’t highlight wrinkles or dry patches on lips.
Pigmentation – NYX Butter Gloss gives medium coverage. Both the shades even out lips easily specially Peach Cobbler.
Staying Power – Both the shades stay on for good 3 hours. NYX Butter Gloss Peach cobbler stays a little longer than Strawberry parfait due to its intense color.
Overall Thoughts
I am enjoying the texture & formula of NYX butter Gloss. It comes in 22 shades and wide array of lighter to deeper colors. Formula feels very moisturizing on lips and doesn’t settle in fine lines. Both NYX Butter Gloss Strawberry Parfait & Peach Cobbler are free of shimmer/ glitter. Staying power is similar to regular lip glosses and none of them leave any stain. I don’t find anything negative apart from coverage as it wouldn’t cover dark/ very pigmented lips. You can easily buy NYX Butter Gloss Online or from Sephora.
