Nykaa has turned into a cosmetics brand after a successful stint in online retailing. For me their products have been a hit or miss. I tried the Nykaa So Matte Lipsticks and liked few of them. This is my second product from their makeup line and I bought Nykaa SKINgenius Skin Perfecting & Hydrating Compact only because it isn’t a mattifying life rest of the powders are.

Packaging is matte black square case with a mirror and sponge applicator inside. The compact is bulky !
Shade – There are 3 shades available and I picked the darkest shade – Warm Honey. The shade is still half a shade light for me, but doesn’t look ashy since it has nice warm tones. Unfortunately if you are darker than me , there isn’t any shade available.
Texture & Formula – The Nykaa SKINgenius powder has a soft and smooth texture. It doesn’t feel powdery at all. I like how it offers a sheer finish without being drying, working perfectly for my skin type. I love using it as a setting powder on everyday basis. There is a lot of kick back and fall out in the pan, i am not sure why because i have used smoother formula like this with minimum powder kick back. You get 9G of product which is a decent quantity.
Coverage – Nykaa SKINgenius powder offers sheer coverage. It is perfect for setting your BB cream or under eye concealer since it has a finely milled formula that doesn’t look cake-y

Overall Thoughts
I am quite happy with the texture & smooth formula. The sheer coverage powder is good for setting makeup or everyday use. Nykaa SKINgenius Skin Perfecting & Hydrating Compact comes with a nice mirror and sponge applicator that makes it perfect for travelling.

I love silky texture in compacts. This one seems slightly overpriced.
But I love the full size mirror.

my skin is duskier is than you so I don’t think it will work for me however it’s warm tone can work it out 🙂
