Note Desert Rose (05) Luminous Silk Compact Blusher Review Price

I have a habit of checking out makeup counters for new launches during my mall visits. On one such casual browsing , I spotted Note Cosmetics at NewU, it too me by surprise, so far I had only seen this brand online on Nykaa. So finding a physical store was really exciting. I couldn’t contain my excitement and started checking out products, I am a blush hoarder so swatched could of them and really liked Note Desert Rose (05) Luminous Silk Compact Blusher .

First thing that caught my eyes was the compact. The blush compact is big, round and matte black. It looked and felt quite high quality. The compact has a mirror and a hidden compartment beneath the blush pan that holds a brush. Quite functional and travel friendly it is. The brush does a decent of job but kicks off a lot of powder due to scratchy hair.

Shade – Note Desert Rose is a terracotta color, not too strong and looks absolutely gorgeous ! there were 5 shades and out of those this was the only one that showed up on me, quite nicely. I think this shade would suit all skin tones.

Texture & Formula – Note Desert Rose is a matte blush. Generally texture of high street makeup brands is powdery, very rarely you come across a smooth fine formula. I was surprised to find the texture smooth & buttery ! It isn’t powdery or chalky whatsoever. I love the matte finish and blend ability, it applies and blends like a dream !

I find it perfect for daytime , even for work. The shade is beautiful warm and compliments my medium-deep complexion. The matte formula makes it look natural, however be a little light handed as it is quite well pigmented.

Pigmentation – This blush is very pigmented, you can tell from the swatch above which is just one swirl in the pan. I take a fluffy blush brush, dab it on the powder and tap off the excess before applying it on cheeks. Best is to layer instead of going all heavy handed.

Staying Power – It stays on me for more than 6 hours which is quite good !

Overall Thoughts

If you love warm tones and matte finishes than Note Desert Rose (05) Luminous Silk Compact Blusher is a must have. The texture & formula is so luxurious and looks absolutely smashing on medium-deeper skin tones. I can’t wait to pick more products from this brand.
