Nivea has come up with an innovative new set of products, In shower moisturizer and they call it a skin conditioner. So I guess it does a job similar to that of a hair conditioner.
How to use
As this is a relatively new product in the Indian market, the directions for use are mentioned on the back of the bottle. Here is what Nivea says
An easy and pleasant way of skin moisturisation.
- Use our normal soap/ body wash and then rinse off
- Apply this In shower body moisturizer on wet skin while still I the shower
- Leave it on for 2 minutes and then rinse off
- Dry yourself and get dressed immediately. Leaves no residues on towel.
Comparisons
I have two of Nivea In Shower Body Moisturizers, one is for Normal skin with Sea Minerals and the other is for Dry skin with Almond oil. I have used both as directed and find that they do exactly what is mentioned, they condition the entire body and my skin feels really soft and supple after use.
I love the fragrance, it is a really mild one – typical Nivea cream style. I also find that you really need to use a very small amount and spread it all over the body. The fact that you are applying this on wet skin, makes it very easy to spread well.
I have normal skin but I do like the Dry Skin variant better. According to me, they both do a similar job but the dry skin one needs less product use. I take only about half of what I use for the normal skin one and it does the same job.
The reason I like using much less product, is that Nivea In Shower Body Moisturizers actually makes your shower floor very very slippery. In fact there is a Caution message on the bottle itself.
Please be very careful when you use this, especially when you wash off the moisturizer. I would suggest you wash the floor with a hand shower – preferably with hot water.
Overall Thoughts
I love Nivea In Shower Body Moisturizers. I hate applying moisturizer all over daily as it makes me feel hot sticky and sweaty, but this takes care of that. You skin simply feels soft, nourished but not at all like you have applied something on it.
Will definitely be using this regularly – its a budget product giving a real luxury feeling.
