Another affordable contour kit put to test this time its from Nicka K. The brand has two different contour kits – Duo and one with 3 pans. I picked the former since I was just testing the brand and didn’t want to hoard too many products. All the products from this brand are quite affordable and decent quality. I have used the Nicka K Duo Contour Kit twice and here are my thoughts –
Perfectly complementary duos of blush, contour, and highlight that are designed to amplify any look! These complexion powders are intensely pigmented, and blend beautifully over skin – for cheeks that pop with an airbrushed finish. Available in universal shades that are versatile enough for any skin tone.
Shade – On the brand’s website there are 3 shades. The one i have is the darkest shade that has two pans. The square pans are quite large. One shade in Nicka K Duo Contour Kit is quite dark and neutral toned the lighter one is red toned. I wanted to use the lighter one as bronzer but it looked quite red on me.
Texture & formula – Darker shade is quite good though, applies and blends well, though I wouldn’t call the formula “buttery smooth”. It is more on the hard to blend side, using them on a powder foundation is quite easy though.
Both the powders are matte which is a good thing. A light hand is enough since the colors are quite dark and blending too much product would be very tough.
Pigmentation – Both the powders in Nicka K Duo Contour Kit are quite pigmented with a non-chalky formula. This kit should work for deeper complexions as well.
Nicka K Duo Contour Kit is priced at Rs 450, available on Amazon and Nykaa
I would call it an oho product with quite deep contour shade. The palette is good for beginners since it isn’t expensive and both the powders are matte. However I would have loved to see a more easy-to-blend smoother formula.
