6 New Shades Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayons Review Swatches Photos

Faces cosmetics is another brand that keeps coming up with new launches almost every other month. The Ultime Pro range of this brand is known for its long wearing makeup. I have already reviewed couple of Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon previously , now the brand has added 11 new shades and the range is quite huge with 23 shades to choose from. I haven’t seen any affordable brand doing it by extending their lipstick range and making more variants available. Faces is one of my favourite brands for their product quality as well as prices. I received 6 of their newly launched shades and here are my thoughts as well as swatches of all the Matte Lip Crayons –

Packaging is simple and user friendly, well in the sense that if you have more than one of these you can identify the shades by looking at the outer packaging. These plastic crayons aren’t retractable and need to be sharpened if the tip goes blunt after couple of usages. Each crayon comes with a complimentary sharpener. The clear lid is another plus, you can see the color clearly.

Shades – I have 6 New Shades Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayons –

Pop Out 18 – Bright Orange

Divine Rose 10 – A rosy mauve shade, perfect everyday shade for fair to medium complexions. Deeper complexions can make it work by outlining their lips with a slightly darker shade.

Girl Next Door 16 – Watermelon pink, the shade looks fabulous in the crayon but on me it looks tad light.

Pink Pout 15 – Berry pink, one of my favourites, if mixed with Girl next door, it can be a perfect pink for medium-deep complexions.

Put Me On 13 – A beautiful deep berry red, absolutely stunning, perfect for all skin tones especially deeper complexions.

Not So Wine 17 – A gorgeous wine , I mixed it with Girl Next door and the combination was breath taking.

Texture & Formula – As the name suggest these are matte lip crayons. The texture of most of them is really smooth when swatched hand, but on lips when there are fine lines, lighter shades tend to look slightly crumbly, unless you use a brush to smoothen the finish.

Darker shades of Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon have a smooth beautiful buttery texture. Very easy to work with, and even with numerous lines on my lips, these shades looks smooth & semi matte. The finish turns matte after few minutes.

What I like the most is the non-drying formula. I have worn many of them in the past 2 weeks and almost all the shades are very comfortable somewhat moisturising on the lips, which is quite pleasant for a matte lip crayon.

Pigmentation – Very Very Pigmented ! None of them need more than two swipes to give an opaque finish no matte how dark the lips might be.

Staying Power – I get a wear of good 5-7 hours, depending on the darkness of the color.

Overall Thoughts

I am so impressed with the comfortable formula and intense color payoff.  Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayons are definitely one of the best matte lip crayons available in the market. The shade range is extensive and I am sure there are more interesting shades available. I will check out a neutral brown shade for sure. The only downside would be the need of sharpening.
