Forever have I waited for this little darling, ever since I heard my favourite you tuber rave about it, something that will make you realise that your concealer had never looked perfect until you used this, and not to mention how much I love the sophisticated packaging of NARS Translucent Crystal, and also that it comes with a separate soft carry case with the powder puff, which makes you feel even more dainty.

SHADE: the shade is called translucent crystal, and it is pretty much a translucent, rather I would say transparent in shade, to get that finger swatch I had to swirl really hard into the pan, on a swatch you don’t really see any colour instead really tiny shimmer particles can be seen, imparting an iridescent sheen.

Texture- When you touch in the pan first NARS Translucent Crystal Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder  feels a little weird ,  and surely not like any other powder that I had come across till now, upon your first touch itself, you can assume that its really tightly pressed and packed, and doesn’t fly off or crumble up in the pan, in fact I would say like some satin cloth was pressed in here, when I first swatched it, really soft and fine in texture, and invisible on skin when blended, and imparting a weird but nice sheen, that is not actually glittery. The shimmer or light reflecting particles in here are so fine it is almost impossible to detect them on the skin, but yes they are noticeable in the pan.

Pigmentation & staying power: now since it’s a translucent/transparent powder, I cant really judge on the pigmentation part, as it goes pretty much clear on the skin without leaving any white cast or any powdery feeling, all you see is the sheen in the area where the powder is applied, and it surely shows up best in flash photography, now this isn’t a powder that is best for setting the whole makeup, or for oil control, but it surely does help your concealer from creasing or looking dry and wrinkly, as the actual powder cant be seen, but yeah the sheen from the powder is surely on for about 5 hours or so, after which I need to reapply

Overall Thought

I am a total powder freak, and take my word, NARS Translucent Crystal Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder  by far is THE BEST powder to set your under eye and also to add a really soft sheen on the high points of your face, some thing that looks as natural as skin, and photographs really amazing, without being detectable, but it sure is a bummer at oil control, or in making your makeup last longer, but since it has very fine shimmer/light reflecting particles it does look upon application that you skin is well moisturised and naturally radiant, without making any thing look dramatic, fake or over the top, best thing I liked that even on people with darker skin tones, it not at all looks ashy or case a white film on the skin, it blends into the skin seamlessly , also as it mostly used for the under eye and high points of the face, hitting the pan would really take a long time, a major issue is it’s avaibility.
