NARS Torrid Blush (2100/- INR or $ 30 plus tax) 

My first NARS Blush review here and I wanted to start with my favourite shade “TORRID”, Nars Orgasm Blush is very popular but for us Olive skin toned Indian beauties I find a colour like this is more flattering and adds nice warmth without being over the top. I’m in my late 30’s and prefer less shimmery blush but this is an exception or shall I say most of the NARS blushes are well played in shimmer department and hence are cult classic .

Shade – NARS Torrid is described as Warm Coral Blush with golden shimmer and just like the description it is subtle pinkie coral shade with soft golden sheen to it. This shade would be my first pick and recommendation if you are starting up your NARS Blush collection and somewhere below NC 45; this is going to look so perfect without a doubt.

Texture and Formula – The texture is smooth and buttery and the shimmer doesn’t feel too grittier to touch, it just blends well and adds the sheen. The blush is soft but it is not powdery at all.

Pigmentation – TORRID Blush by NARS is superbly pigmented and needs a feather touch to get the colour, even if the colour is not that dark I still prefer to use a fan brush to apply this as it is so soft that you may pick a lot if not paid attention, however a good blush brush will work as well if applied lightly.

Packaging – NARS blushes are housed in small, flat rubberized packaging with mirror on one side and a transparent plastic cover on top of blush with NARS written on them. The packaging is prone to dust and gets messy with prolong use and feels sticky as well – I just hate the packaging.

Staying Power – On my oily skin tone it sits pretty for 7 – 8 hrs easily and then fades evenly leaving behind a touch of pink.

Overall Thoughts

I absolutely adore NARS blush and am pretty much sure by the end of completing the whole set of series I will pick some to complete my collection. If you are new to NARS then leave aside “O”, and check the brand overall, they offer some amazing shades for our skin tone and one of them is “TORRID”, the colour is beautiful in pan and on cheeks.
