I’m back with another primer review and this time it is from the brand I adore the most, NARS and their ever so famous NARS Smudge proof eye shadow base. I picked this long back and still it is going strong and I don’t find any reason to replace it anytime soon. I love their eye shadows and that is when I decided to pick a primer and that was the best decision I ever took.

A lightweight primer that creates a seamless canvas that keeps cream and powder eye colour looking brilliant, fresh, and just-applied all day.

What it does:

NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base uses a unique polymer and mineral powder blend to get a firm grip on colour for long-lasting, gorgeous wear. Fortified with a special deep-sea extract and an antioxidant rice extract, it dries on contact and keeps the delicate eye lid smooth and ready for eye shadow application.

Gently sweep a thin layer onto eye lids, blending with fingertips. Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base dries in seconds and then follow with your favorite NARS eyeshadow.

Texture – The formula is like soft cream which is easy to spread and doesn’t leave any white cast, it is not thick and can be spread easily with light patting movement and doesn’t leave any oiliness whatsoever. The finish is matte and the best part about this primer is that there is no colour or tint to it, but then it is hard to see if you covered each corner as it just sinks in and leave no colour.

Staying Power – If am wearing NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base underneath my eye shadow , no matter what product I use , it stays put forever without creasing or fading . I know this is little too much to say or claim but trust me this is the best eye primer I used and it is with me since 3 years.

I use it for – The primer is made for eye shadows and that is what I use it for , it enhances the colour and lends the true to pan shade , the primer is easy to apply with fingers and blends in easily without leaving any white cast . When this is on, no matter which eye shadow I use, it stays nicely for 8 plus hrs without creasing or fading.

Overall Thoughts

I can actually go on and on for this product, NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base is really nice eye primer and makes the product stay put without creasing or fading and the price for the quantity you get is commendable.
