I purchased this along with NARS TAJ MAHAL as both are meant for deeper skin tones and seriously they are amazing and must have shades.

Shade – NARS MATA HARI is decried as Pink with race crimson, it is gorgeous shade of cool toned medium to dark Mauve Rosy Pink which looks very intimidating in pan but transforms to soft Rosy shade in my warm skin tone. There is no distinct shimmer or glitter it but very soft satiny sheen which you can see in swatches here , it is not purely matte blush and hence lends that soft glow with colour , you can always use a highlighter to make this look more stunning and lively .

Texture – The texture of NARS blushes are overall soft , finally milled , creamy and easy to use but shades like these needs extra care due to intense colour . I prefer using a good fan brush for this as it may be too much for a conventional blush brush.

Pigmentation – Do I need to mention? It is so damn pigmented and needs just a feather touch , if you are new to intensely pigmented shades I recommend you to play safe and tap just a tiny bit and work accordingly .

Staying Power – The blush on good base stays for 7 – 8 hrs easily and starts to fade evenly. I don’t see any unevenness even after having oily skin. I have noticed that any powder blush by NARS having shorter staying power, as they are intensely pigmented and yield opaque coverage in light touch effortlessly.

Overall Thoughts

NARS Mata Hari Blush is very beautiful and especially for deeper skin tones it is very effortless blush which show up nicely without putting any effort. I highly recommend you to try this blush if you are somewhere around NC 40 and above; even in lighter skin tones it is equally wonderful shade of pink.
