Being a beauty blogger and crazy online shopper, I am always on a look out for good quality affordable makeup products and tools. I was eyeing MUA brushes for a long time and after testing MUA Eyeshadow Blending Brush for almost 6 months I decided to order some more brushes during one of the offers, where shipping was free. I went crazy and picked 5 more. MUA Makeup Brushes Review Price - F4, F6, F9, F10, F11 (4)

MUA brushes have a plastic handle and synthetic bristles. They reminded me of ELF Brushes , black plastic light weight yet durable packaging. Each brush has its number written on the handle. Bristles are very soft and so their job well.

MUA Makeup Academy Professional F4 Powder Brush

MUA F4 Powder Brush ($5.71)– Its a good sized brush, quite fluffy and with lots of bristles. It picks and distributes powders easily. Its not too packed and great for quick bronzing & powder foundation application. Its not heavy and to long. Best way to use it to sweep the bristles gently on powders and dust with a light hand to avoid cakey finish.MUA Makeup Brushes Review Price - F4, F6, F9, F10, F11 (6)

MUA F6 Blusher & Contouring Brush ($4.57) – As the name suggests this brush with slanted tip is a blush & contouring brush. Its not too dense and hence perfect for powder blush & contour application. Its quite small and places the product where you want it to, not all over your cheeks, which is what I facing with my Real Techniques Blush Brush. So if you are looking for a small blush brush that can double up as a contouring brush, I will highly recommend MUA F6 Brush.

MUA F11 Highlighting Brush ($3.81) – I love my Ben Nye Banana Powder but placing it just at the right place always seemed like a tough task. I was looking for a brush that is small enough to fit under my eyes and work as a setting brush. I use F11 for setting under eye concealer and powder highlighter application, I use it all the time in my videos. Bristles are long and fluffy, perfect design for a brush that is meant for powder products. A must buy if you even plan to order brushes from Makeup academy.MUA Makeup Brushes F9 & F10 Review (4)

MUA F10 Blush Buki Brush ($7.62) – This brush’s design intrigued me a lot. It looked liked a longer version of Kabuki Brush however I was a bit wrong. The brush is very dense and stiff, it can be good for cream/powder blushes but because its too dense one might end up placing too much product, in short it doesn’t work what its designed for. However it works nicely for cream/liquid foundation application. It is dense and buffs product nicely.MUA Makeup Brushes F9 & F10 Review (3)

MUA F9 Flat Top Buffer Brush ($7.62) – So I am all crazy about contouring these days and wanted to own a brush like F9, a stiff, flat top buffer brush. The quality of brush is amazing for the price you pay. Perfect for placing product right under your cheek bones, though not very functional when it comes to blending out the edges. I use F4 for diffusing the product.

Overall Thoughts – After using almost 8 brushes from MUA Makeup Academy Professional Brushes, I will highly recommend couple of brushes if you are on a lookout for affordable makeup brushes with good quality. I really like F11, E3 & F6 both quality & functionality wise.
