I thought I am over glossy lip colors since my love for matte formulas was unwavering, or at least thats what I thought. I really wanted to try MUA Ritzy Whipped Velvet Blush and there was a combo available on Nykaa that had both the blush & MUA Cherry Bomb Sweet Sheen Lip Balm. It was available for 800 INR for both and since it was a good deal, I picked it without giving it a second thought.
Packaging is pretty simple. The color of outer packaging matches the lip balm inside. The transparent cap looks flimsy and gets stained with lipstick everytime you put it back.
Shade – MUA Cherry Bomb Sweet Sheen Lip Balm is a beautiful sheer cherry color. I picked this one because of my pigmented uneven toned lips. This is the darkest shade available and it looks pretty as an everyday lip color. This color would look good on all especially medium-deeper complexions.
Texture & Formula – Cherry Bomb Sweet Sheen Lip Balm has a sheer glossy formula that glides on the lips like a butter. The texture is quite smooth and feels moisturizing. However I avoid too much layering of sheer glossy formulas as they tend to slip and slide out of lip lines. I have dry lips that remain this way 24*7, so this tinted lip balm like product comes handy and is perfect for everyday use. Though I don’t find it as moisturizing as the regular lip balms are but it is decently moisturising.
Pigmentation – Above swatch is the result of multiple swipes, you can see that its not that pigmented.
Staying Power – Formula wears off in 2 hours but the tint stays behind. I enjoy this product and have been using it almost everyday.

Overall Thoughts
If you have dry lips like mine and looking for a product that can moisturise and deliver color as well then do try MUA Cherry Bomb Sweet Sheen Lip Balm. Color is pretty and perfect for medium-deeper complexions. Availability can be a bit of an issue.

To be very honest, I am quite done with matte lips. I was never too fond of them anyway and always prefered more satiny textures. This one looks lovely on you and isn’t excessively shiny or glossy.
