Morrocanoil Intense Hydrating Mask (Rs 2025 for 250 ml) from Lakme Salons
Moroccanoil is a brand that has a cult following across the globe with a lot of women swearing by the wonderful results. The brand launched in India quite a while back, but I stopped myself from buying this due to the really high price.
I have really dry hair and use a shampoo and a mask instead of a conditioner each time I wash my hair. I need something that hydrates and nourishes, at the same time makes my hair manageable and soft to touch. I finally caved and bought Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask after months of dry and horrible – bad hair days.
Packaging – Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask comes in a blue jar with a black lid. It also has an inner clear lid that you can lift off easily because of the little tab it has on the top. The jar looks large, but like most masks, it only has 250 ml. Texture and Formula – This is super thick as you can see from the images. Since I had kept it carelessly in my cabinet, it was stored at an angle and the entire contents have moved to one side of the jar. The contents stayed that way and moved back to the base, very slowly. Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask gives you an idea of just how thick this is.
The feel is like that of a thick custard. You need only a tiny bit of this for your full hair. I used only about the size of a 25 paise coin. You are supposed to keep this on for about 5 to 7 minutes and use between once to twice a week, reducing the frequency as the condition of your hair improves.Fragrance – This has a lovely buttery and soothing fragrance. It reminded me of shea butter and comfort food. I know it sounds funny, but this felt a lot nicer than the generic fruity floral fragrances that most things sport these days. My Experience
Moroccanoil Intense Hydration mask covered my entire hair very easily without feeling oily or sticky. It washed off quite easily as well. Whilst washing I realized that it had hydrated my hair really well – there was an overall healthy hair feeling without much washing off. I guess it penetrated really quickly and did the job of intense hydration superbly.
My hair felt softer, shinier and there were very few fly-aways. Hair felt thick and heavy, something I love. I actually felt like running my hands through my hair for most of the day. 🙂
Overall Thoughts
Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask is absolutely amazing, hopefully this will get my hair in shape pretty quickly. I’ve used it for a few weeks now and it is a serious contender for my Holy Grail hair care. Don’t you just hate it when something so expensive works so well. Sigh!
Rating – 5/5
