This is another super doper, value packed box from Memebox, the non subscription beauty box site.  In their first year of operation, the Korean store has even got the attention of New York Times and is growing rapidly with a ton of people swearing by the quality of the products.

I personally find it rather difficult to stop buying more boxes.  J

The Fermented Cosmetics 2 box is made up of potent fermented ingredients to revitalize exhausted and dull skin for a dewy and healthy glow, while the antioxidants work to strengthen, condition and smooth skin to keep it supple and firm.  Suited for all skin types, this is one hell of a box!

Fermented Cosmetics box contains 8 full sized products

1. Bocians Cycle Repair Whitening Spot 15ml. The tube of whitening spot cream is enriched with fermented extracts and hyrdaluronic acid to hydrate skin and improve elasticity.  You are supposed to apply small amounts on the areas which have fine lines.  I haven’t yet tried this, may keep it or pass it on to my mom.
2. Cotterang Aesthetic Reparative K Cream 20 gm. A facial cream for soothing and nourishing stimulated skin. So, this is to be used after a procedure.  I’m not sure when I’m going to get a chance to use this.
3. Cotterang Panda Eye Essence Mask 3ml x 3ea. These are eye masks that you place under your eyes and rest for 20 -30 mins.  They tell you to store in a refrigerator for better results.  The Panda analogy is to show the dark circles under the eyes, kinda cute.  I haven’t used these yet, but I seriously look like a Panda these days with serious circles around my eyes.  These should be interesting.
4. Tosowoong Time Shift Skin toner 120ml. Korean toners work differently from the ones we are used to. In this case you have to apply over your face after cleansing and pat in for absorption.  This is one of the products I have used over a couple of weeks.  At first I was very skeptical since I am used to my normal routine of using a cotton pad to wipe with toner.  However, once I started using this I realized how much I love this concept.  It goes on easy and absorbs really quickly.  The next round of skincare seems to be doing a much better job – just by using this.  This one item alone pays for the full cost of the box.
5. The Skin House Face Calming Galactomyces Cream 30ml. Koreans seem to be big on galactomyces. This is my third product with this ingredient.  The texture and the product look really interesting.  I haven’t tried it yet, got a ton of skin care I’m running down.  This should be up for use in a few months.
6. Soy Bio+ Fermented Soap 80gm. This is made from Bean extracts and is gentle yet thorough in its cleansing power. It’s also proven to remove makeup more effectively than regular cleansers.  I can’t remember using a soap on my face forever.  I’m keen to give this a shot though.  Will be using it soon.
7. Galactomyces Wrinkle Care Essence Mask 30 ml. Another sheet mask – memebox seems to love them. This one claims to have been made from a whole bottle of galactomyces and adenosine ampoule.  In my sheet mask drawer, its turn should come up soon.
8. Cotterang Romeo & Juliet Pore Tightening Serum. 16 ml. This was an additional product sent by memebox.  Some got the Dran Wonder serum and some got this.  I’m actually rather disappointed, since the Dran Wonder serum was one of the teasers and I was quite looking forward to getting this.  I guess I’ll have to make do with this.   Will be trying this soon.

Overall Thoughts

I love the themed boxes a lot more than the single brand ones.  I also like receiving skin care more than make up since I’m not always on board with the colour selection.  Save one item, which I’m not sure I will ever use, the rest of the box is great. 

Eagerly waiting now for my Wine and Cheese box
