Maybelline Superstay 14Hr lipstick Keep Me Coral is true to its name, a beautiful coral shade. I can not really say that I love it because I am not into corals, that shade doesn’t suit me.

Texture of the lipstick is creamy and it glides on lips smoothly. I could spot some golden shimmer but that doesn’t look over the top. It adds to the shine/ glossiness.The formula looks creamy when applied though after a minute of so settles into semi matte, which turns completely matte after sometime. One problem with all long wearing lipsticks is that they tend to highlight dry/ flaky lips. This one does the same, so I always apply a heavy duty lip balm underneath.

One more issue is that it tends to settle in fine lines. I have numerous !! So after a while it doesn’t look pleasant.

As far as staying power is concerned, full on color stays on for 5+ hours with meal in between, and starts fading (in patches) after that. Longest it has stayed on me for 7 hours. What I liked

• Formula is light weight.
• Pigmentation is superb, one swipe delivers enough color, 2 swipes covers lip pigmentation.
• Staying power is great, it stays on for good 6-7 hours with minimal fading.

What could have been improved

• It settles into fine line, which doesn’t look pleasant.
• Highlights chapped/ dry lips.
• Fades in patches.

Overall Thoughts

If you are a coral lover, then Keep Me Coral will be your love at first sight. Excellent color payoff and superb staying power makes them worth each penny. However if you have dry lips with fine lines, exfoliating and moisturizing lips before application would be recommended.
