Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color – Wont Move Mauve 060, Keep It Red 035, Very Cranberry 100 Review Swatches Photos

We all know how much liquid lipsticks are being loved around the world. Even here in India many of the affordable brands have launched their own line of liquid lipsticks. Maybelline also has come up with Super Stay 24 Color that has over 10 shades of liquid lip colors that are claimed to be super long lasting. I have a feeling that this isn’t a new product, it is a revamped or relaunch of their old product. I decided to pick only 3 shades this time since I wanted to test them out before picking more.

Packaging is simple and convenient. The Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Color comes in white-red color themed packaging. It has liquid lipstick on one end and lip balm on the other. The sponge applicator is pointy which I love since you can get a neat and precise application with such tip. The tube on the side of lipstick is transparent and you can see the colors clearly, making it really easy to pick shade of your choice from the bunch of same products. Names and number of shades are written on the bottom.

Shades – Like I mentioned the range has 10 shades in the hues of browns, pinks, reds & plum/ mauve. I would have loved to see some bright shades though. Nevertheless I was happy to find some subdued shades like – Wont Move Mauve & Very Cranberry.

Wont Move Mauve is a brown mauve , perfect for everyday. But the shade has shimmers and it gives a metallic finish. We all know how much metallic lips are in trend these days. The shade doesn’t look odd and I really like it , surprisingly.

Very Cranberry is a muted pink, beautiful and again a perfect shade for everyday. The formula again has shimmers but they aren’t as prominent as they are in Mauve shade. The color looks really pretty on me. I can see myself wearing it more often.

Keep It Red is a deep cool toned red, with almost no shimmers. Very pretty classic red color , you can’t go wrong with such shades. Texture & Formula – Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color is a sheer liquid. It glides on easily and doesn’t feel heavy on the lips. It feels sticky till the formula dries completely, which is annoying. I apply a layer of lip balm once the lip color is set and that fixes the issue of stickiness.

Super Stay 24 Color is priced at Rs 600 and available online & in storesNow coming to the part I loved, the formula doesn’t feel uncomfortable at all ! it doesn’t feel like anything, I mean it is so weight less that you will forget you have lipstick on. I have the driest lips on the planet and still they don’t complain. I don’t apply a lip balm before putting this lipstick on and still it doesn’t make my lips appear gross or wrinkly. I have numerous fine lines and it doesn’t settle in them. However it wouldn’t make lips smooth either but it doesn’t make the lifeless either.

The quantity you get in lesser than the regular liquid lipsticks like Chambor Extremewear Transferproof Liquid Lipsticks that come in 6ml tubes where Super Stay 24 Color comes in 2.3 ml which is quite less for sure. So if you ask me You would not get good value for money with these liquid lipsticks. Price is less and so is the quantity.

Pigmentation – Medium, The lighter shades need layering but the darker shades will give you opaque finish in one stroke.

Staying Power – More than 10 hours on me ! Surprised ? Even I was .. It stayed on for good 10+ hours even after two meals and countless snacking & drinking water. Worth your money for sure.

Overall Thoughts

If you would like to get on the liquid lipsticks band wagon but the prices pinch you then do try out Maybelline Super Stay 24 Color . The staying power and formula is definitely a winner for me. Downsides would be quantity and shade range though.
