I really like the fact that Maybelline keeps on coming up with new products that are of good quality and affordable. Brand has recently launched Pink Alert Lipstick range, there are 4 bright shades available that are perfect for spring/summers. One more shade Maybelline Pink Alert Lipstick POW 3 has been reviewed on the blog sometime back.

Shade – Maybelline Pink Alert Lipstick Pow 1 is a bright blue based almost neon pink. I am not very comfortable with wearing neons, but have been really loving this particular shade. This color would look good on fair to medium complexions and great for college going/ young girls.

Texture & Formula – Like other Lipsticks in Color Sensational range, Maybelline Pink Alert Lipstick Pow 1 is very buttery in texture. Formula glides on easily and feels very moisturizing. It doesn’t have any shimmer or glitter and finish is pretty creamy. It keeps my lips moisturized for a long time. I don’t see it setting in cracks and lines of my lips.

Pigmentation – Maybelline Pink Alert Lipstick Pow 1 is very pigmented. It covers lips evenly in 2 strokes. The color covers any lip pigmentation or discoloration one may have.

Staying Power – Maybelline Pink Alert Lipstick Pow 1 stays on me for good 4 hours. Despite of its creamy texture it stays on for pretty decent time. I can’t see it staining my lips or leaving any tint behind.

Overall Thoughts

If you love Neon Lip Colors, Maybelline Pink Alert Lipstick Pow 1 is a good budget option to try. Formula and texture of the lipstick is very moisturizing and buttery. It offers a decent wear. Those who don’t like bright neon colors can pass this shade.
